Haha. Not convinced the front would have gone over much more. A little to go on the rear tho. In fairness not really on it anyway, just out for a couple of hours with my mates son who only passed his test back in January. Great weather in the UK just now though so it'd be daft not to. I was just ribbin' ya, my tires look similar.

Did you find it easy to fit?
I found it a PITA to get the old one out and new one in,and that was on an abba stand.

Cheers fella. Until I removed the sleeve in the drag link I wasn't able to drop the shock out. Once I'd worked out the sleeve only came out from the left hand side (!!!!) I was able to drop the drag link, lift the swingarm and just drop it out. It was pretty straight forward once I'd worked it out. Worse part is with the dog bones still attached you cannot use a socket and torque wrench, you have to use 2 x spanners!

Got new front and rear Michelin tires....as usual the change in handling is significant.....fresh rubber, perfectly contoured, balanced tires, doesn't get much better. Went out for a 200 mile spin and got caught in three traffic jams due to road construction. I hate that. 93 deg ambient temperature, saw 222 on the engine temp but it never went above that even waiting for 15 minutes in traffic inching along. Finally turned around and immediately saw the temps drop to the 180 range in a couple of miles.

Yeah, regarding the Spanners you can’t get the bolt out then anyway as the dog bones stop you removing it, you have to drop the dog bones to be able to use your socket and torque wrench.

When I changed mine there was a lot of corrosion around the dog bones area. I spent a lot of time cleaning and greasing the bearings, nuts and bolts as they were all bone dry
Hope yours was better.

Well, with only 1000 miles there wasn’t much corrosion, however it’s akways good practice to grease needle roller bearings when you’re in there as they’re usually a little light on grease. Triumphs were really bad for it. First thing O do when I get a used bike is to strip the drag/drop links and grease everything. Makes a huge difference in the riding usually.

Received my forks back from Traxxion Dynamics. They installed their AK-20 fork cartridges. Also received a Penske double clicker shock from them with a red spring which I prefer to their stock blue spring. Won't get installed on my '18 till November as bike is in Florida & I'm in western NY

Extremely happy with these race rails from Impaktech. They’re not much wider than the Woodcraft sliders and I love that it isn’t a giant contraption around the bike.

I haven't been visiting the forums lately and both of my bikes have been down for the last month or so... Anyway, I'm finally making some headway on my mods. The bike was pretty badass when I bought it loaded with goodies. I'm taking it to my buddies house this Wednesday to fine tune a few things. I'll post up a video when I get out on my favorite back road. I raised the the new fork set-up about 8mm to get more weight over the front and help with the steering since the rear axle is being moved back too. The rear sets are super nice and I have them up pretty high...can't have any hard parts hitting the ground. I always have my foot controls on the higher side...I don't care about comfort. I'm trying out this R1 Two Bros shorty with the Ti headers...paid $400.00... so it's worth a try to see how it performs and sounds. I'll throw an Arrow Gp or Racefit Growler...either one of these bad boys will look badass. I don't like all these long 3/4 systems where the muffler is well past the back axle...I like the shorter Austin exhaust look, but hate there price.
I'm also removing the stock handlebar risers in favor of some nice spiegler 15mm ones. This will lower the Woodcraft bars even further. I want my weight forward and down...this suckers already wheelie like a MF as we all know. Putting the 15t C/S on isn't really helping. I'll take off in 2nd gear if necessary I usually run tall 190/60/17 or 200/60/17 on the rear, but I may lengthen the rear ohlins a 1/4-1/2"? I'm going to get this MF ripping at the track and my local back roads. More to come later.

Can I ask why you've got your tank grip, the knee bit, where it is? I can't see it being any use as it won't be in contact with any part of your body. It's no coincidence that it's the same shape as the plastic bit I'm sure it's meant to go on... Number 3 in my pic

this week i..... crashed my 10 at the track Heres what is toast: -Everything structural in front of the handlebars -tailight and all the little plasticy bits around it and some of the undergirding stuff -seat -the handlebars -peg and shifter link and lever -crank case cover -my pride -my lap time Everything thats fine: -all the electronics and lights -the engine, probably -most of the plastic -frame, forks, and triples -wheels and tires -primary and secondary drives -my expensive helmet -my skin and skeleton What i already ordered: -seat -woodcraft clip ons -peg and shif lever/linkage -new blasterx integrated tail light -crank case cover Taking suggestions on headlight Ideas. I dont want to go OEM.... its like 1000 dollars for the OEM stuff and i want it to look as nasty as it is. I am trying to see if i can squeeze an XSR headlight on there or maybe just go full after market with fork clips?? open to suggestions. Thanks!
