Hey, what kind of door opener do you have? I don't remember seeing a 12V battery on my remotes since a couple of decades ago (they typically use a 3V button battery), using the typical Chamberlain, LiftMaster, and such brands. Just curious, as I haven't replaced a battery lately. And do you have to honk your horn to open your garage??? I wouldn't like that. I just put the remote on a pocket of my tail bag, so only lose a few seconds to get it out. And my door has a keypad. I'd like a button, but not at the expense of pissing off people. Ha ha. It has to be OEM looking (as in invisible, in this case) and functioning, or I don't even consider it. In addition, splicing would be a deal-breaker as well. Since my bike is always garaged, I'd wire it directly to the battery (or a fuse block, if present), and hide a push button somewhere invisible. But a good idea . My opener is a Chamberlain, it's a slightly older one and I don't think they do 12v batteries anymore, you can still buy the remotes though. With regard to the horn, see above... I also like all my stuff OEM looking, with this install you would never even know there was an opener on the bike.

Just ordered a set of the laminate headlight covers from this outfit: www.lamin-x.com/No idea how good they`re going to be (I suppose you never really know with protective items), but the service is certainly good. I'll keep you posted when they arrive with me in the UK. For any of the UK peeps on here wondering, total cost came in just over 23 dollars - shipped - which is just over £18 in sterling.

I'm assuming you eliminated the ABS? Do you get a CEL of some sort?

No CEL. The ABS unit is still plugged into the harness. I just bypassed it and used four M10 grub screws to plug the ports where the stock banjos went in. Cleaned up the brake line routing immensely and simplified things. Brake action feels so much more solid now.

Thanks for the info, I'll go this route as well. Hard to do stoppies with ABS.

One more question fine sir. I looked and didn't see the FZ10 nor MT10 listed on the core website. Would you happen to have a part number?

Here are the measurements I sent in to Core Moto: Front brake line, left: 35" w/1 rubber grommet Front brake line, right: 32" w/1 rubber grommet Rear brake line: 24" w/1 rubber grommet End fittings: Front brake line, left: 20 degree forward bend 10mm banjo; 20 Degree side bend 10mm banjo Front brake line, right: 20 deg forward 10mm Banjo; 20 Degree side bend 10mm Banjo Rear brake line: 20 degree forward bend 10mm banjo; 20 Degree forward bend 10mm banjo There are four single-length 10mm x 1.25 stainless banjo bolts, and one double length 10mm X 1.25 stainless bolt that comes off the front master cylinder. Don't forget fresh crush washers! Cost of the front set was $120 shipped and the rear line was $69 shipped. I opted for their carbon-look (translucent gray, basically) with solid black end fittings and a black tag w/white logo. Of course you can select any color you please. Hope this helps!

corundum chemical formulatook the muffler off for now. I did some JB weld in the small holes in the stock muffler to give a more straight threw sound. Hey it can't hurt right?

Also, take plenty of time when swapping out the brake lines. I gave myself most of a day to do so. The rear is relatively easy, but the fronts are a PITA. You'll need to drop your radiator (but not drain it) because the hard lines run above it. Remove the tank and airbox for better access to the area where the hard lines run along the inside of the right-hand frame rail, and don't be afraid to bend those stock lines either, it's not like you'll be using them again lol. Good luck!
