Frompictures seems is sitting pretty low... That's my only complaint. I wish it was tucked up closer to the bike more but it sits no lower than stock so I'm ok with it.

Also looks quite low, and might drag before the pegs, no?

Also looks quite low, and might drag before the pegs, no? Does look low, but no height difference compared to stock cat/can, 5-6 inches of ground clearance, if i do find myself dragging then I'll upgrade to something different. But as for now I like the look and sound so it's a win in my book.

Installed and fitted the SW-Motech bags last night, looking forward to nicer weather so I can actually use them. For those who installed these bags, did you bother with using the clear protective film to protect the little plastic bits by the seat from getting scuffed by the saddlebags? Can't decide to try and cut down some film and apply it or just put a couple of terry cloth towels in there whenever I use the bags.

I heard the films are pretty sh*t quality. Im atleast geting my winglets wrapped with some proper pain protective film. Might put some of the SW film ontop as a sacrificial layer.

Hey guys, do any of you with those Blaze bags have the Vagabond tail tidy, by any chance? Those bags don't seem to fit with them, but want to find somebody who tried it before crossing them off my list of 1. Ha ha. Thx.

My brother had a set on his fz 10 before his accident. With the vagabond he had to use pieces of styrofoam to hold them out off of the signals. They will not work with the vagabond without a smaller aftermarket signal. I have his bags they are like new. Haven't decided as to whether or not I'm going to buy them from him and get smaller signals or just sell the bags as I really don't need them. But bottom line they will not work with the vagabond tail tidy and stock turn signals. My brother made wedges out of styrofoam to hold them out for the 1 trip he made before the FZ got totaled. He's been in the hospital since Oct 1. Not sure yet if he'll ever walk again.

Sad to hear the bad updates from you man. Still wishing him the best. A shame that the machines we love have to be this dangerous.

About the tail tidy, I have a thread about it a few threads down from this one. You can check how it fits from there. Im pretty sure the R&G tail tidy would clear it if you are desperate for saddlebags. Might be a cheaper solution than an integrated taillight (if they are legal where you are) too
Edit:
Its in the "folder" Accessories Reviews etc.

He's been in the hospital since Oct 1. Not sure yet if he'll ever walk again. Damn brother, what happened? Really sorry to hear that. I'm losing a battle with incurable (rare) leukemia, so I'm also the recipient of 'bad luck', but at least I'm being able (as a few months ago) to ride again for a while, so grateful for that. Wish your brother the best. Another fact I don't complain or get depressed is I'm 57, and there're a ton of kids and younger folks who have it much worse than me, so I take it in stride . As far as desperately needing bags, I don't. No way I'd put an integrated taillight, even with cancer. Ha ha. Just wanted an option in case I ever need them, but will have to get by with my trusty Ogio tailbag. Thank you for all your input.

Pulled the ecu and shipped it up to 2WDW. I look forward to the improvements, even if the weather is forecast to be absolute shit for the next week.

Applied rim tape. It turned out nice. Application is not a perfect process, but I think I managed about 96% perfection. Start with clean wheel surfaces, of course, then practice lots of patience. I agree with the positive reviews for CustomTaylor33. It seems to be a good product. The black looks nice during the day, and is surprisingly reflective at night. Their black tape is supposedly not as reflective as their other colors, but still quite reflective in the dark. And, it’s only $33. So, it’s a fun little change. www.customtaylor33.comAt dusk, with my phone camera/flash:

Finished up the ecu flash installation by wiring open the exup valve, as per Nel's directions. Removed the cables altogether as well, and bolted the exup cover back on just so that is still looks stock (because I'm sneaky like that!)
The exhaust note is slightly louder and deeper than stock; just the right amount of volume, nowhere near as much as a full-on 3/4 decat system can be, and that's perfectly fine by me!

Hey, what kind of door opener do you have? I don't remember seeing a 12V battery on my remotes since a couple of decades ago (they typically use a 3V button battery), using the typical Chamberlain, LiftMaster, and such brands. Just curious, as I haven't replaced a battery lately. And do you have to honk your horn to open your garage??? I wouldn't like that. I just put the remote on a pocket of my tail bag, so only lose a few seconds to get it out. And my door has a keypad. I'd like a button, but not at the expense of pissing off people. Ha ha. It has to be OEM looking (as in invisible, in this case) and functioning, or I don't even consider it. In addition, splicing would be a deal-breaker as well. Since my bike is always garaged, I'd wire it directly to the battery (or a fuse block, if present), and hide a push button somewhere invisible. But a good idea .

I would connect it to the menu button or the high beam button. That would really be a slick install.

I would connect it to the menu button or the high beam button. That would really be a slick install. I might look at changing it to the high beam now, as that's how it is on both my other bikes. Was going to leave the horn disconnected so I didn't have to sound it but thought I might need it some when.
