Nice, I like attention to detail. What helmet lock is that?

Is that the stock spring, painted? Plasti-dip?

Finally outside and off the stands...done but not. Had to wait to see all the carbon together and besides the mistake of being sent the wrong finish on one piece and my dislike for another, changes may come but more or less the finished product Louisa May Alcott Brighter Shone The Golden ShadowsLooks awesome. I've tried my mirrors down, up, angled rearward and up, rearward and down. I finally settled on slight forward and up.

Got my XPEL Ultimate protection kit from Tank Slapper earlier this week so I got that installed on the bike today. Took a bit of time, but it looks really good and should give some great protection to the plastics that need it. If anyone is interested, here is the link to the kit I ordered: thetankslapper.biz/fz-10-mt-10-package-kit/*Edit* Added photos of the pieces of the kit I installed so far. I reapplied my tank protector just to break up all that gray on the tank. Have a few little bubbles on the right side of the tank only because I rushed it a bit. I could just remove and re-apply it. I did order the little squeegee which helped immensely with ease of install and watch the YouTube video to get an idea of how to install. I'll finish applying the nose pieces, fork tubes, and head light pieces when they arrive. So far it's holding up very well.

I can dig it, thanks for the link. A few pics would be nice. After you get everything set up like you want it, of course.

Sure, I'll get some pics of it in the next day or two. I was missing a few pieces from my kit for some reason, but I contacted them and they were shipped out same day. I have the tank done, and the front fender. Just waiting for the nose and fork tube pieces to arrive.

Finally was able to ride! Its been so crappy here in NY, raining almost every day. Got a chance to take the bike out yesterday. My little brother took a really cool picture, wanted to share. Plus I took a quick one from a few feet away just to show how the bike looks completed.
i've been toying with the idea lately of selling my bike again...I really don't want to but i've had some unexpected things come up in my life that i'm going to need the finances for. I know most people look at this thread so figured i'd mention it in here. Sucks since I literally just got this thing back together . I must say this thing is an absolute terror with the flash on it!

I like the look of an integrated tail light, but after having one I feel like it's borderline confusing for motorists. It's such a clean look though. Some guy here rigged up a harness that let him keep his OEM signals w/ the fender eliminator and integrated light, which I really like.

I think there's an additional harness you need but you can keep OEM turn signals and the signals in the IT.[edit] I think I misspoke; I couldn't find the harness I thought I'd seen on their website. [/edit] I'm wasn't the biggest fan of ITs, but I plan on the SW-Motech saddle bags and those won't fit with the OEM rear signals. Someone else on here has an IT and Watsen turn signals and it looks sooooo clean. My Watsen signals are in that mail and I cannot wait to get them installed.

I concur that an integrated unit is confusing to drivers, but don't really see the sense of getting a BlasterX IT and keeping the OEM signals. What's the point?

Luckily the -09/-10 tail light is so wide that the sides are clearly differentiated. Plus, the side that blinks temporarily disables the running light so it's very obvious.
I was firmly in the camp of integrated tail lights = bad, but the Custom LED unit is really nice. Bright, nice strobe pattern, and clear signals.
Jon makes a nice product...assembled right here in NJ, too.

I don't get the point either... and actually, I may have misspoke, I thought you could buy a harness and use both OEM signals with the signals of the IT but I can't find it so I must be misremembering. I know I've seen it before, just attributed it to the wrong site. Not trying to start a debate, but I'm not sure how the IT would be anymore confusing to motorists than basic hand turn signals. I could see a motorist being confused if I stick my left arm out to the side and either extend it out or angle it 90-degree upward and just thinking I'm stretching my arm or getting ready to pump my fist or something. With the IT, yellow blinker on the left of the light... I'm going left. Yellow blinking on the right... I'm turning right. If a driver gets that confused because the yellow blinking lights are closer together than usual, I think they should re-evaluate their competency to operate a motor vehicle. (But I'm a self-admitted prick when it comes to anyone driving; I have low tolerance for stupidity behind the wheel/handlbars/etc.)

Got my Watsen signals today and promptly installed them... and of course managed to do something stupid because, when I started the engine the CEL was staring me in the face. I think it may have because I left a harness disconnected while I was turning on the ignition to test the signals but cannot determine what the harness is for. I posted a separate thread, if you think you can help, I'd appreciate the input. Was hoping to roll the bike out of the garage to get a couple of better pics of the whole bike with the signals installed but right as I finished it started pouring rain. The signals look awesome on the bike.

Emailed him through his website asking if/when he'd be making more and just kept in touch based on his responses until he was making some. He's a really great guy to deal with but just need to be patient since he's got a lot going on.
