I have been reading rumors that Yamaha will be releasing the next generation MT-10 in 2022. However, there has been no official press release from Yamaha confirming this (that I am aware of).
I am waiting patiently as my next bike will be a MT-10. Thoughts on the likelihood of the 2022 MT-10 being a new generation?

Well Yamaha just announced only a graphics change for the 2022 R1. No mention of the MT10 yet. That could be interpreted two ways in my opinion. Since there's no major R1 update, there will be no major MT10 update. Or, there was no information released because they are still working on it.
Im skeptical, as the rumors I have heard involve mention of the FT10 having a turbo which I just don't see it happening. So I'm leaning towards not seeing anything significant in 2022.

I agree with not seeing anything new with MT10 Model-2022 specially with supply chain issues due to pandemic...

I wish they would and update the engine to be competitive with the Tuono and make 170 plus. TFT screen, IMU, updated or upgraded forks and shock. Proper front brake.

I love the bike just the way it is. They ruined the Speed Tr. by making it more track focused. The Tuono and an unrestricted 10 are quite close in real world situations,(street riding). I'm sure this is just me, but I'm losing interest in these bikes becoming more powerful and track leaning, instead of fun street oriented bikes. A set of brembo pads did the trick for my front brakes, street, and the ecu flash got it more like the Euro version....but I'm never going to use that much power anyway. Just filling out my quota for posts. ha.

Not sure if your talking stock power or after a tune but my bike definitely feels like it has the Xtra 20 to 25 to the wheel witch would be close to 190 to the crank roughly. I don't think it can take anymore power with this will base witch make this bike so much fun how light and happy it is.
I out pull so far now the ducati street fighter 210hp, super duke gt around 180 hp, tourono street fighter I think around 200hp . We are all at around the same riding talent they track I don't.
100% with fzsea these bikes are what they are for the reason they are if you want a different bike then buy that bike I hope yamaha leaves the 10 alone it's a perfect bike as it is Keep it simple a cheap and fun not broke don't fix it.

I believe that Yamaha will come out with the R9 before they update the MT10, or around the same time.

They better bring the SP to the US at the very least with the TFT, 6-axis IMU, up/down quickshift etc. It's really sad that the MT-09 SP has all that stuff but the flagship of the MT range still lacks all of that goodness.

Short of an R1 engine transplant (which as been done), I find it highly unlikely that an MT engine, with its smaller ports & valves and less aggressive camshafts, can ever reach 190 crank bhp.

After a tune I ask and was told 20 to 25 to the wheel so what that equates to as far as crank hp I shot that out my ass guess. So I've seen on the web stock 2020 mt10 from 160 to 163 crank hp assuming that is correct wouldn't 20 to 25 to the wheel equate to an additional 27 to 30 at the crank. I thought I was being cocirvative on the tuned crank hp numbers.
Stock 2020 R1 are at 198 to the crank I just looked up. I can say I have not had my bike on a Dino and I do not actually know how much hp it's putting out but it's a shit ton more then stock I can say that for sure and with my stock cat and can.

Ok so you guys are right I just confirmed it my tune is good for 150 to the wheel and crank he said who cares and no way to measure it but no where close to 190 And did not want to speculate on that but more like in the 170 range . So wishful thinking on my part and happy to clear that up .

Braided lines as standard? Interesting
Front end looks decent there too and I love the wheels and the same colour seems to be represented on the likes of the logo etc. too. But what a bitch those wheels will be to keep clean 😂
TFT dash too on a standard bike (I assume) which is class. No sign of Ohlins here so I’m assuming they’re including the TFT on the cheaper bike 🤷🏼♂️

Love the TFT and Brembo radial m/c though! Also really digging that new headlight design as well as the black rearsets, triples and bar mounts. Funny they did all that but kept silver pegs and silver bars. Might just have to trade my 19 in for one of these. I wonder if the exhaust will be the same so I can keep my pipe....

Wow! is this yours? How did you install Color TFT (from SP) to normal MT-10? Are those DRLs on top of Headlights?

I would likely get the wheels painted black - Everything else is absolutely incredible! I can't wait to see this thing in person
