ECU shipped to Nels at 2 wheels yesterday, Akra GP slip on and link pipe received yesterday, Ohlins TTX GP expected tomorrow, and I have over $1300 of goodies in a basket over at Stoltec moto. My credit card is tired and I'm going to have to eat at the homeless shelter for the foreseeable future. I swear it'd be cheaper to be addicted to heroin than motorcycles.

Stay safe out there fellow FZ-10 brothers. Made a right turn and a car blew a red and I hit a gravel patch as I swerved to avoid it. Thankfully all I got was a bruised knee and toe nail. Unfortunately, there were no witnesses available and the car just took off without a chance for me to get the plate number. I'm just going to fix the turn signal and ride on .

Glad you are ok for the most part. Don't worry, karma will get that car that ran the light. BTW, frame sliders would have prevented some if not most of the damage. But as long as it still rides thats the important thing.

But as long as it still rides thats the important thing. I think engine case covers would have been a better choice. I'm not too worried about the plastics. The turn signal is expensive to replace though and I don't think any frame slider would have prevented it from snapping unless it was like a stunt cage. It's just battle scars now

The cover that the signal mounts to are fairly cheap on Ron Ayers

Glad you are ok, but I could never replace the turn signal and just 'ride on'. I'd have to fix the cosmetic damage on the bike. But that's just me. Frame sliders may not have saved the turn signal completely but it probably would have saved the plastic damage which is expensive to replace. And engine sliders would almost have certainly prevented damage to your case which is hideously expensive to fix. Plus this kind of damage really hurts residual value. Let's all ride safe and protect ourselves (body and bike) as best we can.

Word to the wise, don't get the ebay cheap fender eliminators. You can make them work but its not worth the time to put crap on a nice bike. Vagabond motorsports has an awesome product, just threw away the cheapo and put the new one one.
