How many miles did your tire last? What are your plans on a replacement? This one has 5400 on it. I ride 40 miles to work one way mostly highway so I need a harder tire. I ordered a pilot road 2 today from Cycle Gear. Probably put it on in two weeks.

Hello My name is Mark Schellinger. I work as an instructor at the Yamaha Champions Riding School. ridelikeachampion.com The instructors and the students get to ride many of the Yamaha motorcycles during our two day schools. Every school, we offer two-up rides as a trading tool. We have been doing these two-up rides on the mighty FZ-1. The FZ-1 has been our go to motorcycle for this. Then Yamaha introduced the FZ10. I fell in love with this machine right away. Smooth, Powerful, Nibble. As a solo rider the bike is amazing. One issue we are having is, dragging toes while cornering. Sure I had to move my feet more inboard, and yes way up on the balls of my feet. Compared to the FZ-1 the pegs on the FZ-10 are much lower. Closer to the ground. Maybe a bit more comfortable, but too close to the tarmac. We did a test the other day... We mounted a set of R1 rear sets up to my FZ-10. The shifter side bolted right up. The brake side had issues with the brake pedal. Our COO Keith Culver called me in on the radio, and said "I got something I want you to try". I swtitched bikes and headed right back out on the track. First problem, and a major problem. My feet are so high up and moved back that my heels are in to the buddy pegs. I can't even point my toes in to the turn. I make a single lap and pull in. I tell Keith, I had to ride pigeon toed No Good. Keith removes the buddy pegs. I go out again. Now I can move my feet around as needed, but I can feel just how high-up these pegs are. No issues with touching my toes anymore. The R1 set up was too high of the FZ-10. It was a fun experiment, but we had to put everything back to stock. I gotta give some two-up rides on this FZ-10. Good times! ridelikeachampion.com

Finally got around to installing my Remus link pipe and slip on.
Got in on the Black Friday deal for ECU flashing through 2wheeldynoworks, so a flash is next on the list.
Limited riding for the next few months on this bike, but I hope to be able to get out and test the mods.

Today I installed CRG Aroow mirrors on RhinoMoto bar ends. Same setup as several others I've seen. Easy, good quality, good aesthetics. The mirrors are smaller than I estimated, so I'll see if I like them. I received the Vagabond tail cleanup kit. Super nice quality and a very detailed install video. I'll install it on Monday. While the tail is apart, I plan to install my Skene Design P3 lights an controller for a flashing brake light. www.skenedesign.com/lights/P3_Features.shtmlI'm not sure if it will cause code issues, so I'll let everyone know. I sue Posi-Products, si it's really easy to undo everything without permanent modification. www.posi-products.com

Vagabond tail clean-up, CRG mirrors. i didn't add the Skene Design flashing brake lights yet. The bike does indeed get sensitive to added inputs. I need to study the diagram and loads first. The good news is that all I need to do is remove the key cover temporarily to pass the wires through, so no major disassembly when I finally install the the lights. The Vagabond product is simple, straight forward and very clean. Very easy. Their installation video is excellent also. The CRG Arrow mirrors are very well made and the RhinoMoto bar ends are a perfect fit. Excellent fit and finish all around.

Congrats sir. Oil time. Bit of a changed from the BMW? Surprisingly, the water cooled GS is a very smooth, quick and good handling bike.....125hp, 525lbs (plus bags and engine bars....... but yes, it's a big change. Some things I noticed. Cons. I can't even carry a can of Monster without my back pack! (Not a big deal.) The seat is not comfortable after a couple hours. (Being resolved by the Seat Concepts group buy.) Fuel mileage is bad. I used to get over 50mpg on the GS. Hopefully the flash helps. Pros. Powerful yet smooth and predictable. Handles like a small bike. Stable at speed like a big bike. the sound really came alive at about 125-150 miles. So far, I'm very pleased.

After having cleaned it last sunday made it dirty again. After 3 cold days took the 10 to work thursday and friday. No rain but dirty wet roads. Haven't installed anything lately, but have plans to change exhaust, with or without de-cat, still not sure, SC project, Arrow or Termignoni. Also rear sets are high on my list. After markets for R1, e.g. Gilles Tooling, Bonamici, Lightech. Braided brake lines from HEL. What do I have installed from the day I got the 10? Pirelli Angel GTs White wheel rim stickers Rossi/Monster/Joker stickers Clear tank pad Frame sliders. Brake/clutch levers. Wiil be replaced by Lightech. Lower handlebar. 1 bar end mirror (left). Will be replaced and now left and right side. Bar ends. Yamaha tail tidy. Replaced by simplar lighter one in the mean time. Painted some parts blue. These are not pictures as it is now. Tail tidy shown is still from Yamaha. Bar end mirror is different ans so are the bar ends.

I had the 600 mile service done. The dealer installed my Yamaha Quick-Shifter while it was in their shop. It was raining all the way home, so I didn't really get to try it out at full tilt. It seems to work great though.

A guy at work made it for me. It's cut out of steel and I painted it with that rubberized coating.

I wanted it stealthy. To keep it on the bike. It's just velcroed on
