lazos Can I ask you how much you paid for the black wheels ? Im also looking for a set for my Grey FZ10 . Sent you a PM, interested in your wheels.
On a personal note, I installed a Delkevic de-cat and 14" carbon muffler last night. Not a big fan of megaphone style exhausts which seems to be what many of the manufacturers offer. The SP looks nice, but I like the end cap on the Delkevic the best. Install was easy, even though it came with zero instructions. I pulled the cables for the EXUP off the bike, but left the servo hooked up and installed. Used the O2 sensors as well and no codes or lights. Sounds good! I took the Db killer out prior to install. I occasionally get a little popping for a second or two on decel but that is it. At freeway speeds it is not that loud. Granted, I ride with ear plugs, always, but it is quieter than my 09 R1 with Two Bros carbon cans and that still has the cat in it.

Dropped the oil, tightened and lubed the chain, discovered Vesrah pads from a R6 drop right in (and make a huge difference to the stock system), adjusted throttle play, raised shifter, ordered some goodies.....

Last week I ordered a Dunlop Roadsmart 3 tire to replace the OEM tire that was worn out on the centerline at 3,000 mi and it would not pass state inspection although there was plenty of tread toward the edge. When I rolled it out of the garage I noticed a small nail deeply imbedded in the tread midway between the center and edge. I had nails in two barely used tires on my previous FZ1 so I bought the tire/wheel package when I bought the FZ-10 last year, but part of the agreement is the tire has to have at least 3/32" of tread at the most worn part of the tire to be covered so I was out of luck. Damn. Checked the pressure and it hadn't lost any air, so hopped on and drove it down to the dealer. When I handed it over to them I showed them the nail, the tech said 'H'mmm, perhaps I can take a photo of the nail and the good remaining tread on the outside edge of tire and see if the warranty company will cover it." Well, blow me down, it worked and the company agreed to cover the tire and installation, saving me over $300 so I was thrilled with that. I told them to be very careful with the fluro wheels as I did not want to see damage on them. Luckily the tech had owned an FZ-07 with the same wheels so he knew how to avoid damage. Mission accomplished and I had just two pin head places on the rim that were scratched, almost invisible so I am very satisfied. And they threw in the cost of the state inspection as well so it was a profitable morning. ZERO out of pocket cost except for the dollar I spent in the vending machine for the RC Cola I drank while waiting.
Then I came home and changed the oil and filter. I had one of the recalled K&N 204 filters on the bike so was glad to get it off. I drained the oil out of it and am saving it so I can eventually get a refund or replacement for it. Used a Yamaha OEM filter this time along with Yamalube 15W50 full synthetic oil. And I replaced the hex drain bolt with an appropriate Gold Plug bolt which will be easier to get on and off and which has the magnetic tip to catch any stray metal particles.
So I should be all set for some good fall and winter riding, and hopefully getting a lot more mileage out of the rear tire. The amount I saved on this new tire just about paid for the cost of the 3 year warranty so I'm even, with over two full years of remaining coverage if I run into any further damage down the line on my tires. Sometimes you WIN.

Might pick up one of those magnetic drain bolts.. it was nice to have on my previous bikes, kind of wish Yamaha had that standard.

Bought a camera system that hooks up to the bikes electrical system. Took a bit to install but you can barely notice it. Two cameras, front and rear. Haven't rode with it yet I'll update tomorrow if it works. This broke today on my FZ-10 when I was going the speed of sound. Not smart enough to load a pic. Its called a stay and holds everything in front of the handlebars. Windshield came back some and hit the ignition key turning off the engine! Took me a min. to see what had happen and why it died. MadStad 22inch shield, too much pressure? free image hosting ebayWhat exactly was the "speed of sound?" I can't find myself buying a madstad set up if it fails at 90mph or something...

I've been trying to ride mine more, got out this past Sunday and did 255 miles, I've got 855 miles total on it since purchasing it late August, plus 2 weekends, I didn't ride during that time due to vacation. The bike really is fun, the power is nice for getting around cars and trucks in the mountains and then being able to ride my pace. I'm blessed with many great roads to ride on and not have to want to go to places that are popular like Deals Gap, pre internet it was a fun place to ride so says my friends that used to go down there. I hope to get a good ride in this weekend, rode my Tiger 800 yesterday to run errands and scuff in some new tires, it felt sluggish after having ridden the FZ.

Added some Pyramid Plastics sport panels Love the way these turned out. Only downside is you can't use frame sliders with them (which of course I just purchased prior lol). Well you could, but you would have to cut these up, and i'm not ready to do that just yet lol. They come with "MT-10" stickers, but I had them make me a set of custom "FZ-10" stickers in a dark gray. The plan was to run the red stock stickers (I thought they were going to come with an fz-10 sticker) and then if i ever pulled the red off the bike i'd have a set of stickers to go with a different theme, but I ended up running them anyway. They are super subtle which is exactly what I was looking for.

Pulled into Nels, tune done in 30 minutes. Popping on decel is gone, engine stays cooler and throttle is still a bit twitchy when trying to old a steady speed. I can definitely feel the power difference and see the fuel economy difference already.

I did the 5000 miles service myself on saturday. Then I went for a ride. Is it me or shifter feels more smooth when changing gear? Also, I could not hear the engine ticking like it usually does. Anyway, I really like my -10!

Anyway, I really like my -10! I have changed the oil on mine twice since purchasing, and with out a doubt it shifts WAY better with fresh oil!

Removed reflectors and safety/warning stickers before I rode my shiny new 2017 Armor Gray FZ-10 to work for the first time today! Just picked her up from the dealer last evening. 👍🏽😎

I swapped in Dunlop Roadsmart 3s this week. They are a bitch to mount - sidewalls are pretty stiff. While I had the rear wheel off I also adjusted the ride height with the Penske shock. Raised the rear by 12mm and it feels great and right. I should have measured eye-to-eye length of the Penske while I had it out to compare it to the OEM shock, since I felt like the rear lowered a bit when I put the Penske on.

The Penske is the same length as OE... And for those tires: you're going to love them. I have been running a set for the past few weeks and am pleased so far. I like them better than the PR4's, but will withold final judgment until it gets cold here.

I think I'm done with my upgrades. Just added Lightech chain adjusters from Cyclegear $300. Great mod you can adjust the chain in 5min. Also installed SC Project Conical slip on. $585 that's $300 less than the S1 and without the baffle it sounds the same witch is awesome.

Added a set of Pazzo levers last night. I went with Titanium levers with black adjusters. Installation took about 6 minutes. One bolt each lever and a bushing swap on the clutch.
So far: Givi sport screen SW Motech frame sliders SW Motech quick release mini bag Adventure Sport Mirror extenders Yamaha Comfort seat Evotech Radiator and oil cooler guards 3M clear paint protection Vagabond fender eliminator Delkevic Cat-Delete and carbon can Pazzo Levers Speedo Angel gauge screen protector Slip Screen Head Light protectors Removed passenger pegs, they were getting in the way of my feet when cornering (size 14...) Removed peg feelers, tired of dragging them Think that is about it so far.
Coming up: New tires (Dunlop Q3+) Suspension work, re-springing it for a fat boy. Suspension tune Maybe a re-flash Front and rear axle sliders
