Today my engine light turned on. It already happen before, the Yamaha mechanical fix it, he told me at that time that it was because I was turning the ignition too fast. He explained me what I needed to do but I cannot fix the light. Does anybody had the same experience? What should I do to remove this stupid light?
Thanks

Get a Yamaha 4-pin to OBD adapter and a CAN capable OBD scanner. You can read and clear your own codes just like you would with your car.

Take it to the dealer there's an update from Yamaha that should fix it This happened to me a few times, my ECU was flashed by Nels. Are you saying there is definitely a solution that Yamaha has released? If so what is the problem and is the update to the ECU? Is this published? Thanks

Thanks Your mechanic told you the opposite of what you should do when turning the ignition on. There are two switches in the lock cylinder, the first one turns on the ECU, the second turns on the starter interlock circuit (sidestand switch, clutch switch, neutral switch, etc). The ECU in the FZ-10 switches on much quicker than ECU's of the past and if the key is turned too slowly the ECU will be fully on before the second switch closes so you get an error code as the ECU thinks there is a problem in the safety circuit, mainly believing the sidestand switch is defective. So by turning the switch too slowly it enhances the chances of you getting an error code. Yamaha does a reflash of the ECU (takes about 20 minutes) which fixes the problem. Take it to your dealer, they know all about it and will do it for free. It is Campaign Number 090XE, dated November 2016.

This is a recall isn't it? No, not a recall per se, ie. they don't have to notify you of the issue. It is a Service Campaign. But they will do it under warranty, no cost to you.

It sounds like the soft recall that Yamaha has notified to dealers. Reason he told you to turn it quicker is because turning it slowly produces a code. If you haven't had it done, they need to do it. I had mine done 2 weeks ago when it finally happened. The dealer needs to flash the ECU to fix the problem permanently. They probably don't have the adapter for the OBD, my local dealer had to order the part, took about 3 weeks. Check my stickied post for details: fz10.org/thread/607/2017-model-recall-list-hard

This will be wipe off you ecu flash though So when I bought the bike in February, the dealer told me they did the side stand switch "recall". Was this a different issue then the one being described here? Is it possible that when I had the ECU flashed by Nels that whatever update Yamaha did for this issue was reverted to whatever version Nels was using for his flash? If the latter maybe a better questions for Nels but any feedback appreciated.
