Anyone installed new brake lines on their FZ yet? This is my first ABS bike so I'm just curious what differences, if any, I can expect. I realize there is more work and extra lines to go to the ABS unit under the seat and module under the radiator, but my concern is bleeding the unit. I considered taking it to a professional, but I don't want to pay someone to do something I can do myself. I don't have any fancy vacuum pump, will that be needed? Any other advice or tips you can offer?
Just as background I've changed out probably around 10-12 non ABS brake lines previously and never an issue. I always install speed bleeders when doing this and bleed my brakes at least once a year at the start of the season. So I'm not new to brake lines themselves, just ABS bikes in general. Quite frankly I'd just as soon do away with the ABS unit all together but of course that would throw codes and be a real pain in the ass.

harrybalzak, if you go to this link:
fz10.org/thread/483/stoltec-moto-fz-build-thread
Nick talks about changing the brake lines starting about halfway down the first page. there's more after that, too. it's a great read because of all the technical issues he addresses and how he either tackles them or plans on it. haven't read it in a while, but if I recall he recommends letting the bike sit overnight with a rubber band on the brake lever to let all the air bleed out of the ABS unit. I plan to change my brake lines myself, but I've never done it on a bike with ABS. the link should give you some insight - there are others on the site who have already changed them out themselves.
regards, Tony
