ASV C/5 brake and clutch levers are made from 6061-T6 Aluminum billet bar stock. These bars are run through a roller until desired thickness and then cut to specifications on a CNC machine. They have a break away design that claims (Unbreakable is what they say) to stop breakage if dropped or crash. I am sure that you can break these. They are rebuildable as well. They have a 5 year warranty. They also have a wheel that has 180 points of adjustment (4" travel in and out). Finally they are finished off with a VERY high quality mat anodized finish. It has a very slight texture to it. It looks and feel like quality. They come very nicely packed and include all hardware necessary to mount on a variety of bikes. They also include the standard sticker pack that all things motorcycle seem to include with aftermarket parts (my tool box thanks them) If you want to know the difference between aluminum parts and what Billet / Forged / Cast aluminum is then check here: fz10.org/thread/705/all-aluminums-same-chinese-knockoffsAKA.....you fool and your money the Chinese parts are just as good and the same. They are made in the same plants. The down side to these levers is THE COST. They are between $112 and $125 apiece. They are more expensive then the Forged (actually stronger than billet) F3 $150 ($75 apiece w/same aluminum and 180 adjustments). They also have a shinier finish rather than the mat finishing on the C/5. Pazzo $150 w/6 adjustments and use 6061-T6 aluminum. Both F3 and Pazzo are finished off by CNC machining. Pazzo does offer powder coating option and custom text options. Then there are the $19 - $39 dollar Chinese Pazzo 'knockoffs' that are available on eBay So, given the the price differences why didn't I go with Pazzo? Well I have psoriatic arthritic and while not debilitating, it can be painful in between treatments so the 180 adjustments allows me to adjust the levers as my hands hurt. The clutch is lever that can cause the most soreness over time. I also stayed with standard length so I can use all fingers if needed. Now if the F3 is forged (stronger than billet), has the same aluminum grade, finish, and adjustments, why did I shell out another $70? Well the warranty is 3 years and the real issue is the finish. I personally like the mat textured finish over the gloss. So really preference and I can. Then there are the Chinese knock offs. The main reasons are explain in the above link on types of aluminum and manufacturing process, as well as, I really wanted the 180 adjustment feature for my hands. So are they worth it. As an upgrade for better feel and control....YES. As a better looking alternative to the OEM lever....Most definitely YES (YMMV on looks vs other manufactures). Are they a 'must do' upgrade....NO. The OEM levers work well and would last the life of the bike. I'd recommend the C/5 and F3 (choice based on finish and warranty) over the other options out there because of the shear amount of adjustments available. They look damn good on the bike. But that's just me. If your interested in changing your levers you can see a Tech Tip How To here: fz10.org/thread/702/fz-clutch-brake-lever-replacement
