You're the best for this one. It's so much easier to do things when you can see them first.
Thank you.

Shout out to Nels at 2wheeldynoworks for responding to my text. I assumed the connect tab should be pushed. I was tugging and cussing and scratching my bald-ass head, but Nels was quick to respond.
His text was short and sweet.
"Lift the tab"

Just to keep everything in one place.
I ordered connectors like the ones on the end of the O2 sensor cable. I will stuff the open (wire lead) ends with high temp silicone just to keep the remaining on-board connector clean and dry.
Here is a post showing the connectors. fz10.org/thread/522/electrical-plug-o2-sensor-connector

Perfect step by step instructions! Great job! Thanks for your quick response. That connector got in my head. I would never have thought to lift the tab.

They need to sticky this thread! Great for everyone! And yes those things can get tricky sometimes

slv Thank you for taking the time to put all of that together. One of the best tutorials that Iv'e ever seen. Thanks. I do this stuff with aircraft repairs all the time. It was trickier with iPad software, but easy enough. The hardest part for me is remembering to document the steps.

Nels had done a flash on my ex-FJ-09, very pleased. For sure I'll do it for the FZ-10. Question. What;'s the advantage of removing the O2 sensor?

They have to be removed. The O2 sensors will continue sending information to the ECU about stoichiometric air/fuel values. This information will constituent adjusting the mix based on stock recommendations. Removing the sensors lets the flash tune set the fuel mix.

Oh crap I didn't cover the pins or moisture-proof my ECU before mailing it off. Should be fine though right?

Oh crap I didn't cover the pins or moisture-proof my ECU before mailing it off. Should be fine though right? Probably not an issue unless UPS gets it wet. I got mine back from 2WDW without any specific protection. The box itself was very secure and packed well, but the connectors weren't covered. Probably not a big issue. I just like to be cautious.

What did y'all use to plug the O2 sensor holes? Would some proper length SS bolts suffice?

Just a quick add. Using the blank plug, I filled the wire tubes with high temp silicone and plugged them into the open connectors that were left on the bike. img host

I'm curious as to why to remove O2 Sensors? Does the ECU flash also renders the O2 Sensor useless?
