Side note—and apologies if this has been covered, but does anyone know the top speed in each gear? Anyone ever actually mapped it out IRL? Watch this from 10:45 you will see top speed of each gear same as any stock mt-10 if you modified it, it will be little more. The top speed in each gear won’t change if you modify it except for 6th. The rate at which you achieve top speed in each gear will be faster.

Since I’m busy trying to keep the front down I just have never had time to see what the speedo says lol. Thanks!

Well ask me since I installed a full system Akrapoviç and DNA filter as well as ECU tuning, and the top speed in 1st gear went up from 127 to 132, so imagine the other gears.. and if the 1st went up to 5 km more then certainly other gears different will be bigger.

I'd NEVER go over the factory rev limiter, but to each his own. Unless you don't give a crap about your engine, that is.

I've had mine to 161 speedometer, and GPS indicated 156. All the usual mods with flash done by 2wheeldynoworks. I didn't feel like there was anything left in it. I have the Givi Sport Screen, and you have to be tucked as tight as you can to this bike. I've seen a 4mph difference depending on how tight you're tucked. That being said.... This is the most fun street bike I've ever rode!

Well It is still on the factory limit and it never go beyond 12000rpm, but what happened is I gave it more power by improving air flow and exhaust emitting by changing air filter, exhaust system, and having the ECU tuned to not lose power.

I’ve had my bike up to 148mph on the speedo. I uploaded this video of a quick 130 mph squirt to show you tia cool One Ride app that displays lots of cool info. Please forgive terrible quality.... working on it!

I read a Euro spec that said the MY-10 was limited to 164mph. Thats correct. After an ECU reflash to remove any speed based limitations, I topped mine out at 164. Theres no way to go faster as I had a new rear tire (max diameter stock size) and hit rev limiter in 6th at that speed. Unless you change gearing or raise the rev limiter, 164 is max. Also, my bike is 2-3mph slower gps than indicated at all speeds. Its accurate but always holds that consistent error.

156MPH indicated yesterday (in Mexico, of course) on the highway and was surprised. Colder weather has woken this beast up even more recently. Surprising for me as I’m just south of 300lbs and 6’3 and have no windscreen/stock setup other than full exhaust. Sounds like I was prob at just about 150 actual speed as our MT’s are not near as inaccurate as other Jap bikes are, but still indicate higher than actual speed. It definitely hits a wall normally around 145MPH for me. Still need to bite the bullet and stop riding for a week or two so I can send off my ECU to 2WDW for a flash.
Looking to buy a used/cheap GoPro soon so I can film the hooligan that this bike has made me become.

The top speed limiter kicks in between 132-135 mph on the USA FZ-10. ECU reflash takes care of that issue and removes the usa detune as well. Fastest speed I have heard of in the USA is 155. Someone may have gone faster by now though. Anything over 130 mph on a naked bike is just brutal though.

I’ve had zero engine mods done on my ‘17. I have had the throttle wide open in top gear a few times now and the speedo topped out at 154mph .

(and it increases to 10 % when tyre is near the end) Did the flash correct the speedometer ?

Sweet, did the same with the 2WDW flash that raises limiter a bit. My speedo is 1-3mph off gps speed at all speeds. my 164mph indicated was 161 on gps.
