I got 169mph on the GPS, but I have a R1 motor. because I have R1 motor I beleive I'm really down on the speed and I'm still working on it (clutch replacement needs to be done) as on they dyno between 12K and 14K rpm clutch is slipping.

I saw 153 mph on the speedometer yesterday. No GPS. Wide open stretch of AZ highway with no other vehicles in sight. She did it surprisingly quickly and easily. My FZ-10 is completely stock except for a few cosmetic bits. Air temperature was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and elevation about 3,000 feet. I’m about 185 pounds, and tall & gangly which means I don’t "tuck" well. My jacket does not fit me perfectly (you tall, thin guys know what I mean), and started flapping in the wind, which was an uncomfortable feeling, so that’s when I backed off.
Anyway, that was the fastest I’ve ever driven any vehicle. I don’t feel the need to necessarily go crazy fast. I appreciate the fun of a machine with great handling and low-end torque, versus sheer top speed, which is exactly what I got.
Someday I’d like to invest in a tailored jacket.

Someday I’d like to invest in a tailored jacket. Just get a Vanson, and it won't move. Ha ha. They're stiff as hell. I had one, but it never 'broke in', so sold it. Without a windscreen, I'd surely have the same problem as you. The jackets I own now shouldn't flap much with the liners in place, but without, they probably would. I plan to do one run like that at some point too . My highest speed so far is about 185 on my ex-Hayabusa, many years ago, and it was the first and last. Even in the wide open desert with no cars in sight and perfect asphalt is dangerous; even a freaking rabbit could spook you a little, but enough to run off road. I might just do 135 and call it a day. He he. Just curious about its stability at those speeds, and how it feels without protection. It must feel like 200 on the Busa. Ha ha.

Well, I don’t have anything to compare it with. That said, it felt good. She got up to that speed surprisingly quickly and easily. The whole machine (front end, rear end, etc) handled solidly. I was tucked as well as I know how, which is probably pretty poorly. Ha. I guess it’s good to do it, so that one can say it’s been done. If I was going to spend any money on performance upgrades, though, zero dollars would be spent on achieving higher top speed. 👍🏽

I wanted to see what my MT-10 had in her, felt like she had some more to give but wasn't. Bone stock right now, but now I'm looking at windscreens and hopefully I will be sending in the ECU for a flash in short order.

Even at altitude it should have more than that, but looks like you only have 148 miles on her, so give her a chance to break in a little longer . Having said that, I honestly see no point of getting any higher than that on a naked bike anyway, but that's just me .

im 6'3" 263lbs I hit 140 on a closed abandoned airstrip. I have a video.. but its a shaky phone mount. The bike felt like it had some left in it but I backed off. The runway has some cracks and weeds growing threw.

154 MPH (So far) 5'11" 285lbs 2WDW ECU Flash (Which adjusts the stock speedo to show accurate speeds) 3/4 M4 Exhaust (Cat delete) AIS Removal Smog Block off plates installed O2 sensor/cable removed EXUP Servo & cables removed CustomLED X-Blaster Integrated Tail light (Stock rear turn signals delete) Vagabond fender eliminator kit TST Mech-GTR front turn signals (Stock delete) MRA Windscreen Techspec Snakeskin tank pads Bar Riser bolt RAM Mount I also learned from 2WDW that in 5th and 6th gear the throttle is limited to 70% (even after the flash)

Thought you get 100% with the flash

The stock speedo is inaccurate, the 2WDW flash helps to correct this, mine is after the flash.

I took mine to 135, and not sure I'm interested in taking it any higher. It's not what this bike is all about. Did a roll-on in 6th from about 80, since I was at around 750 miles, so didn't want to rev it to redline yet. It got there relatively quickly, but at 4K' of altitude, it wasn't pulling hard at all. And it was windy too. It might still top out at redline, but it'd take a while. It felt pretty planted at 135 though, even with the wind, so quite pleased with how it handled. I'm not going to do anything else to my bike; it's done, and it works beautifully.
