Hi guys, I installed the CRG RC2 clutch + brake levers on my 2021 MT-10, and have been thoroughly enjoying them for the last few weeks. Well last weekend I was cleaning my bike and noticed something unfortunate. I must have bungled the install of the clutch cable into the lever as the plastic bushing on the end of the cable that rests in the lever is all mushroomed out and mangled. I tried to take it out and reinstall, but the plastic part is toast. No big, I ordered a new cable, however Partzilla quoted me it becoming available next Wednesday, and my dealership said ~60 days. This is super distressing, and I can only hope Partzilla's estimate is real. I've looked online and couldn't find any obvious aftermarket clutch cables for an MT10. Couple questions for the community: * Does anyone have an extra cable I could buy off of them? * Does anyone know of a suitable OEM or better quality aftermarket clutch cable for the MT10 * Any suggestions on installing the new cable to avoid the issue seen in the picture linked below? I might just have the dealership do it as I don't want to chance it seeing how hard the parts are to come by. I honestly didn't expect it would be so hard to come by. drive.google.com/file/d/1y05-X0GNl-gaL8D1I407Hgp4h2z-nYUh/view?usp=sharing

While you wait for a permanent replacement you might be able to mend what you have if you get a little crafty. I'm not a crafting expert but I would think maybe you could apply some heat and reform the plastic bit or use some hot glue. Maybe line the inside of the socket where the plastic tip sits with some kind of waxy paper, plumbers tape or pam or something and fill it with hot glue or some other adhesive. Hard to say if that would hold well though. Good luck finding a spare! I'm glad to hear that other than this issue you like the levers; I just bought some too and should be throwing them on next week. Are you running the full levers or the shorty ones? Here's another thread with some tips as well: fz10.org/thread/2601/clutch-cable-replacement

I installed same levers shorties on my 2020 and love them you made me check mine and it's good. You may go to the dealer and and pick any cable with that end piece that is the same size off any bike I believe it comes off and is almost universal plastic piece. Replacing the clutch cable on these bikes look like a real pain from what can see just saying.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
I think I have fixed it reasonably well, it may be good enough to hold permanently =). The bushing is a standard size, and I found a generic (totally not for MT-10) dirt bike clutch cable for $15 dollars at a local shop that came with the bushing. The only complication is the bushing is attached to the cable in a permanent way -- I had to make a small slit on the side so I could slip it on to my cable. I then used high strength plastic epoxy to bond the slit shut, although I think it may have worked without that even. Re-installed with generous amount of grease and it's looking / working good.
When my backordered cable does come I'll have a spare in case my "custom" solution doesn't hold long term.
