Hi guys,
Just wondering if there is any aftermarket suggestions for a clutch cable ? Or should I just get the OEM stock replacement ?
I fucked up when changing to aftermarket levers and didn't check for a spacer from the stock levers. So my clutch cable was rubbing against the metal. It's frayed at the top , so I am just going to go ahead and replace it , as that's the last part I want to break while riding.

Stock replacement is only like $30. I'd go with that. I don't see that being a part that aftermarket would make better without going with some more expensive metal that would double or triple the price.

Had that same issue with some imported levers on a Kawi. Frayed clutch cable didn't make sense with so few miles. Found a small but significant machining error on lever which was sawing into cable. I'm advising you to very closely inspect the operation of the cable when it's placed in lever. Also I use waterproof wheel bearing grease on all lever pivot points and cable ends where cable is exposed from perch.

How do you route this cable? It's too fat to pull up out of the crevice because it's blocked by the lower section which has thick insulation... I'm ready to just cut it but how is the new one supposed to fit down in that hole?!
