Do you have any problem with the vent system ? I had one on my R1 and when releasing the cap it was popping some air/fuel . Maybe I installed it incorrectly.

Thanks Bogie, just ordered one. Can you get black screws somewhere to fit? I just saw on a Amazon review that LightTech has black screws for this application. I don't know the length. I'd be hesitant to use black oxide screws from the hardware store. They tend to rust. I had already installed red anodized aluminum screws in my stock gas cap. Being aluminum, they shouldn't be torqued too hard because they can break during tightening, but the application doesn't require a lot of strength. I just ordered this quick access cap too, so I'll continue using the red screws. |
