Tried to find information on the OEM side panniers but can't find much! Anyone here knows how big they are, how many litres etc? Is it worth the price compared to the Blaze saddlebags? Also thinking about getting the Street Rack from SW Motech, opinions on that piece? sw-motech.com/en/products/luggage/luggage+racks/STREET-RACK/

I have the alu-rack with the blaze saddlebags. I like the Alu-rack better because you can add a quick loc to it for a tank bag to click on. Also with the blaze saddlebags you'll have to relocate the turn signals if you use a tail tidy. To me it was all worth it as I can click on the sport tank bag for a trunk the city tank bag on the tank and the saddlebags and I have plenty of storage, or I can take them all off with a quick release and I have a naked bike to run around on again. In my opinion the best of both worlds.
If I'm not mistaken the OEM are actually blaze bags made for Yamaha.

Thx for the input! Regarding the rack, the street one utilize the same concept of being able to put on different adapter plates as the Alu-rack, . So if you are happy with the Alu-rack I think the Street rack should function for me. Also looking at the tank ring adapter Don't know if the Blaze bags are the same as the OEM ones, haven't seen them in real life yet....but when you say it, they look kinda similare. The OEM ones just looks a bit bigger compare to Blaze, at least when the Blaze bags aren't expanded. I like the easy mounting system for the Blaze bags and that everything can be taken of the bike! But even though the OEM racks stays on all the time they look kinda sleak and IMO doesn't destroy the naked look when the bags are gone, Haven't had the opportunity to check out the City tank bag, you are satisfied with it?

I'm very satisfied with my c city tank bag. But the difference on the alu-rack is you don't need a plate just a tank ring.

You can try to zoom in on the rack and see what I'm talking about.

I am also thinking of going with the street rack but having a hard time finding the adapter plate for the shad case I have. If any of you happen to see one, please let me know as I 'd rather have this one over the shad rack.

Yes I can see what you mean Good to hear about the City tank bag...ordered one today. After looking at side panniers alot!! the last couple of days, I think I now know which side panniers Yamaha "copied", the SW Motech Aero ABS: They are a bit different but I think it's mainly because of the "missing" fourth attachement point on the Yamaha racks. Btw, are you satisfied with the comfort seat?

USA/EU or other?

Btw, are you satisfied with the comfort seat? Yes very. I weigh in about 260 with gear, and I have a lot of titanium in my back. Couldn't ride 50 miles on the stock seat but I can ride all day on the comfort seat. I highly recommend it. I've tried seat concepts on my dirt bikes and they are good, also tried them on the wifes mt09 and I like the comfort better. Jmo!

Pretty sure I'm going to order the comfort seat, for me and my wife Looking at Seat Concepts also, and they look really great but I haven't found anyone that could ship them to Sweden (incl tariff costs) for reasonable cost.

Thx! No, I haven't looked at them. Are those racks detachable? or do the stay on "permanent"?

Just an FYI for those who might not know: Most bags don't fit with any fender eliminator, so research further if you have one.

I have the SWMotech Blaze bags. They are quickly detatchable, and work fine with my fender eliminator. It does narrow the view of the rear turn signals if that is a concern. They cover the view unless you are directly behind. I also have integrated signals in my tail light soon big deal for my set up. As others have mentioned, I think they are the same as the OEM.

Uknixter, you should state which fender eliminator you have, so people know it's compatible with the Blaze bags. Seems like you're in the UK, so probably different than the ones we yanks use . I know the Vagabond (mine) with stock turn signals is not compatible with them, as most others. Turn signals are in the way. You'd have to get those integrated ones, which to me are a safety hazard, so a deal-breaker. So I just get by with my trusty Ogio tail bag .

Uknixter, you'll have to excuse elptxjc, he isn't the brightest bulb on the forum. Looking at your previous posts, it seems you are in SoCal, have a Vagabond fender eliminator, and probably don't think an integrated tail light is a safety hazard. Good luck and happy New Year.

About the indicators being partially covered is a valid point, thx for the info!

I have the Blaster X integrated taillight. The blinkers are a very Bright orange and the brake light will flash rapidly when the brake is applied. The tail light is also programmable. Honestly the Blaster X is very safe and made in the U.S.A. I least it would be a safety upgrade and a very good solution to the mounted bags. If I did not think it was safe I would not have it on my FZ 10. Link: www.customled.com/collections/integrated-led-tail-lights-for-motorcycles
