Did not have my Battery tender hooked up and the bike sat for about a month with no starts/charging.
Just hooked it up and now there is consistent beeping coming from about 6 inches in front of the battery. Beeping is not coming from the battery tender.
I've never seen this, I searched a few motorcycle forums.
Is this normal?

I'd disconnect the battery and see if the battery will come back to life by recharging. The electronics may just be seeing low voltage right now and will reset when a fully charged battery is reconnected.

Was the key in the off or park position? Park will drain your battery in a few days.
Definitely fully charge your battery first.

I was in park, I ran a battery test. Its fried after 2700 miles and two weeks of park, had a bad cell. Went to get a replacement and the terminals were in the wrong spot. Never easy.

Ha! I feel this same way sometimes, and wonder if it’s just me. Do I make things harder than they need to be?? Sorry for your trouble today, but it makes me feel better that it’s not just me. 😉 |

The Park position strikes again! Oh yeah you killed it good. There’s no way I would trust that battery.
Since your looking at it and I’m too lazy to remove my seat as I’m drinking a beer in front of a fire. What’s the stock CCA?

The + terminal is on the left, as pictured. Sounds like yours is installed backwards or you have a battery that has terminals reversed. What model number is on the battery?
