This bike isnt as easy to power wheelie as I was expecting.... what are your experiences?
Also, i noticed a few reviews mention something along the lines of the TC not allowing you to loop the bike? Ive clutched up pretty far, but obviously Im not going to intentionally try to loop it haha. Have any of you accidentally given it too much in a clutch up? Any truth to the claims? Just out of curiosity.
I always see guys in videos wheelieing out of corners so casually and Im trying to get there, only done them in clear parking lots.
Thanks!

Not sure how hard you are twisting the throttle or if your ecu has been flashed, but I cant keep the front tire on the ground in first and second.

What drive modes have you tried it in? At what speeds? even in B i grab a fuck load of the throttle and even yank on the bars/lean back a little and nothing. TC1, of course. Im beginning to wonder if I have a power issue with this bike.

Fresh out of the box with no mods, b mode, TCS1, in second gear whack the throttle at about 45mph and the front tire should launch up very easily.

With stock rear shock you will get front will lift under full throttle in 1/2/3 gear.....fwiw. Setting the stock suspension up for your weight will help the front lift, but it is still there. Once I got the Penske front/rear set up for me the lift was greatly reduced. Only under hard throttle to do I get lift in 1/2/3. It's much more controllable (at least for me)

Body position is paramount! If you want it to come up shift back a little, for me at least, in 1/2/3 under power.

Only the most aggressive traction control setting (TC3) will prevent wheelies, and it is very intrusive (it basically cuts the throttle). TC2 and TC1 have NO anti-wheelie capability, and you can loop the bike in these modes. There are much more important skills to hone on a bike like this than "getting it up" IMO, but mine will loft the front end pretty much any time I ask it to. ...I've pulled the front end up at 120+ mph, so it's definitely capable!

Yeah its not that important to me, i was just kind of looking forward to it, as Ive never had a bike that was able to power wheelie before. The only way I have been able to get any lift was in first gear, full slam throttle with TC1/B mode and just a few inches.

Mines seems to wheelie at will even when I don't want it to, a lot of throttle will loft the front wheel. This bike is a monster..

Ive power wheelied 600s, its never been this difficult. Going to play with my suspension this weekend and see if that helps.

Only had mine for a week and only given it some throttle a few times, so i don't have a lot of experience with this bike, it will lift the front wheel a few inches, and the natural reaction when you are accelerating hard is to put your weight over the front end, you don't have to pull on the bars to lift it further, but you do have to resist leaning over the front and shift your weight slightly back until you have it up as far as you want, then move your weight to balance it ...... It's hard to actually explain ..... i find the 10 a very well balanced bike, in other words if you want to wheelie every were it will do it, but it's easy to keep the front wheel a few inches of the ground under hard acceleration.

Not to sound condescending but are you easing into opening up the throttle? That might be why its not powering up. 2nd gear, 5k rpm lean back and whack that throttle and you'll have that nose up quicker than you can say "it wont wheelie". 3rd gear's sweet spot seems to be at 70mph for me. Once for pre-load, twice for liftoff.

To the OP Matt is it? I too am in the 240 arena. I tried like u from nearly idle below 10mph by whacking the throttle. Amode TC2 bike bogged while accelerating and sped above 30 mph with no signs of lift and I let my chicken shit wrist off the throttle too. Solution: let the bike settle at speed at 3k to 3.5k rpm in 1st gear and then whack the throttle while covering rear brake with foot. You'll feel it.
The first time I did it this way ( also my first ever wheelie experience) I felt my body implode into my stomach and my sphincter did a 360 before my brain could even process what was happening and say to me "hey you're doin it!!" Be careful.....

I did it! I did it!
Despite my screen name (a long standing inside joke, of sorts), I have never done a wheelie before. My only other street bike was a cruiser.
Anyway, it did happen by accident, and was surprisingly easy. Coming home from work, taking off from a stop light, and always experimenting & learning my new bike, the front wheel came off the ground. Was in first gear, rolling on the throttle nice and smooth, and it came up nice and easy at about 40 mph. It surprised me so I instinctively let off the throttle. TCS 2 and STD mode. I told myself I would keep it in STD mode for the first month that I own it.
Anyway, kinda awesome! 😎

For those who maybe interested or have concern, maybe be helpful to indicate whether it’s a strictly throttle / power wheelie vs clutch intervention type wheelie. I don’t own a 10, but considering it (I have a modded 17 Monster 1200s for now)..
