I haven't heard yet but I'm curious if anyone knows if the FZ10 is coming back or not? Did we get the only run of these here?

I can't imagine Yamaha not continuing the only super naked that's been labeled one of the best in the world by everyone.

I seriously doubt Yamaha would abandon the FZ-10 after one year, all the money spent getting it approved for US sale hasn't been made back yet and there is little cost keeping it in the lineup for a few years. They'll change the colors for next year, maybe a blue and a silver or red one. I am surprised that I've seen no advertisement on tv during MotoGP for the -10 although they have an ad for the Sport Heritage line (XSR900, Vmax, etc), and for the new R6. But FZ-10, nada.

If they did stop selling these in the USA, then these models would all shoot up to like $15-$20,000 in value overnight.

I'm looking forward to seeing what we've got coming too! I expect we'll get some kind of bagger. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a BNG year aside from that one. We've already gotten a good bit of new and refreshed bikes in a pretty short time. XSR900, FZ09, R3, R6, R1, FZ10.
I would really like to see a street legal 450...

They only released the new 2018 star venture touring bike. I thought they were going to do all the sport bikes and cruisers today

I was surprised when I read here earlier that the 2018 models were to be announced on June 5th, that is not how it has been done in the past for the sport/standard lines. They are released at the AIMExpo (American International Motorcycle Expo), this year held in Columbus, OH from Sept. 21-24. aimexpousa.com/
In years past it was in Orlando, and I think it will be moving elsewhere in the following years (Las Vegas, I think).
Yamaha can release new models sooner (like they did last year with the FZ-10) but subsequent years of a continuing model are released at the AIMExpo. We'll have to wait three months to get the full picture of what updates or new colors will be on the 2018 FZ-10 line. If the SP or Tourer edition is coming they could tell us sooner.

I've heard rumors that we aren't getting the SP, but I've heard rumors contrary to that as well. That was a couple of months ago. The lack of ANYTHING about the -10 makes me curious if it's done here or not. I know the sales weren't great, but if we did get the only run, I'll be cautious to ride it too often. Both avenues are exciting!

I just purchased my FZ-10 yesterday from member Fzgarber.
I don't think anyone has anything to worry about. It doesn't matter if Yamaha brings the bike back or not, because you can still purchase everything through Yamaha dealers(replacement parts, etc.). Now my 2015 EBR 1190SX is a whole different story, parts will be a little scarce once the company is liquidated.

Had a Buell xb12s for ten years living through Buells up and down history. Getting parts sucked but at least they where available at the time and enough were made so everyone new the common issues. I was ready to buy a black lightning with 185 hp but the lack of dealer network and inventory didnt sit well. I rode the Raven at AIMexpo and fell in love. Shit, there at 6 Yamaha dealers within 20 miles of my house. The day I bought my FZ 10 EBR announced is closing so I blame myself for putting the final nail in the coffin.
