Im currently running a lower end AGV helmet, whats every ones opinion on brands for quiet helmets? I know there is a million threads out there on various forums, but in the interest of posting activity I figured I'd start one here. Currently looking at the high end shoei and bell stuff, what do you guys run? Shoei x14 temporary image upload

For the last 3 years I've run an HJC RPHA-10 which is a premium helmet, but I always thought it was a little noisy. Two months ago I bought a Bell Qualifier DLX which is about 1/2 the price of the HJC, but I actually like it better, it flows more air and is quieter than the HJC, and it comes with a transition lens so no need for different lenses for day and night.

I run the ICON Airframe Pro Construct. It's a great helmet, however, I cannot compare it to any AGV or HJC helmet. It has some noise but can hear yourself talking and car tire noise. I have long hair and airflow is as good as it gets with long hair, when my hair was short I never got hot when moving. When turning head at highway speeds, helmet's drag intensifies so much you can feel it shifting a little on the head.

I have the Shoei GT Air Wanderer that I love. It is the quietest, lightest, and most well ventilated helmet I've used.
I've had various Nolan modular helmets that were comparatively heavy, noisy, and the vents didn't seem to do much of anything. I also had a Icon Airframe. It was ok for track days but it was too noisy for all day riding.

I just switched to a Shark Spartan Carbon and found it to be one of the quietest helmets I've ever worn. Very light too.

There is too many variables, helmets have different shapes and peoples head also. A helmet that will be amazing for someone can be someone else's nightmare. Best thing to do is to try them and make sure it fits properly, proper fit usually fixes most of the complaints people have about their helmet.
As for the noise control, ear plugs are your best friends, again you have to find the proper plug that would fit you, a good fit and you forget you actually wearing them.
Rumour says that SENA's helmet will come out this summer, and it will have active noise reduction technology integrated,i will probably look into that helmet as soon as it comes out,ANR is simply amazing, that will for sure be the quietest helmet available.

Most wind noise while wearing a helmet is generated by the wind passing between the shoulders and the bottom of the helmet and chin bar area. Maybe wear a thick turtle neck sweater and a pair of shoulder pads.

The sena looks promising, very cool idea for a helmet.

My Schuberth C3 Pro is VERY quiet, but also VERY hot. It doesn't flow much air. That's why I switched to an Arai Defiant Pro Cruise. Much noisier, but flows MUCH more air (for 90°F to 100°F days). Foam ear plugs make it quiet enough to hear my TomTom.
