Hello all ... located I n the metro east of St Louis and just picked up the Raven Black FZ-10. Been riding since I was kid and on the streets since 2000. Have owned all types of bikes, but just sold a Harley Road King and wanted to get back in to a sport tourer. I had a Ninja 100 before the Harley, the one based off the Z-1000, but it was a bit cramped for me and power trailed off way too soon. Just wasn't a fun bike. Hoping this FZ is different.
Prior to the Ninja I've had too many bikes to list. Had the dealer add the following accessories with installation included
Comfort Saddle
Mid Windscreen
Quick Shifter Kit
Grip Heaters
Radiator Guard

Yamaha Accessories heated grips ... they are on back order along with the quick-shifter. Supposedly arriving in 23 June or so.

Was talking to the dealer the other day and he says Yamaha brings out new accessories and then waits to see how popular they are before committing to actual production which gives you unhappy owners and unhappy dealers, been that way for years. I ordered the QS back in mid-February and at time of order the system said 'March 27th availability', but it didn't come in until April 18th, and that was after the parts guy phoned Yamaha and told them to expedite the order. You'll get your stuff eventually, but keep in contact with the dealer to see if they can speed things up. |
