I've had the tallest option ermax on the 10 for about 2 weeks now, overall it's a decent screen. It is slightly flimsy over 55 mph but it holds up fine. The wind protection isn't quite was I was hoping for in terms of touring needs, as the wind hits about midway up the face shield (I'm 5'11") and just outside the torso on the sides, but for around town it is adequate. I plan on making a removable split extension for the top, if that doesn't get the airflow over the helmet I will probably go the madstad route. It looks great though...   |

Lol. I'm 5'10" and tried the same 47cm screen for 1700 miles of touring. It hit me exactly in the middle of the face too. I've since dropped down to a 39cm and will finally get a chance to test ride tomorrow. Hopefully it will hit me right over the shoulders, which is much preferable (personally) to the face. Glad to see someone else out there thinking the same thing.

Glad to see someone else out there thinking the same thing. Update, I did 900 miles on the interstate with the screen, I am having nasty stress cracks around the mounting screws. They were not over or under tightened. I am just going to fork out the stack for the madstad setup now... Bleh |

weird, i did 2k with the 47 no problems. my 39 is holding up well too. maybe a warranty issue with ermax?

Possibly, I haven't looked into getting it replaced as it really doesn't suit my needs anyway. Let me know how you like the MadStad; I might have to get one too. The only thing holding me back is the price tag... hopefully I will have the cash laying around soon so I can let you know. |
