I'd agree 2-2.5 beers. It took 40 minutes start to finish which includes unpacking, installation, and clean up. I didn't actually drink though since I wanted to ride afterwards. Went and got groceries. They work well and money well spent. I agree the directions could be better in labeling which screws go where but if you stop and look at them it doesn't take long to figure out.

I find myself leaving them on more than taking them off. They really are clean and don't interfere with getting on/off bike. The hold a lot of shit too. What did did you do for the rear rack and bag/case? pics

I have a set of Kriega dry packs, the U.S. 40, which is a 20 litre and two 10's. I've been using these for several years and they work great, but really only good for carrying stuff for a 3-4 day trip, so I needed some more space.

I am a new forum member. Just sold my FZ-07 and bought a slightly used FZ-10. My FZ-10 has the sw motech alurack so I bought the evo day back and corresponding ring. I really like the look and function but need more storage space. I’m considering the blaze panniers but it looks like my rear turn signals would be squished by the bags. I have the graves fender eliminator so the turn signals are right under the rear brake light. I guess the only solution is to get an integrated tail light and take off the rear signals. What do you think? Will the bags work with a fender eliminator and stock rear turn signals?

How much more space do you need? Maybe a tank bag will suffice, they come in all kinds of sizes and are expandable. I have a Givi with a quick release mount.

Factory turn signals are cramped with bags. Initiated tail light is clean with them.

Are u running it with the quite core installed or out?

The yoshimura exhaust is brilliant. I do have the decibel reducing insert in place. I also have the AIS block off plates from Graves Motorsports, K&N air filter, power commander V and ECU reflash. I had a yoshimura r-77 on my FZ-07 and this is a bit louder but not crazy. You have to hear this engine without the cat. It’s exhilarating.

Factory turn signals are cramped with bags. Initiated tail light is clean with them. About how far do the bags extend past the brakelight? My turn signals sit maybe an inch behind and two inces lower than the brakelight. Wondering if i could get away with it as an integrated tail light is illegal over here and i dont feel like getting pulled over for something that silly. Could i saw an inch or two off of the mounting rods to move them forward if the bag is too far back or would that cause more problems than solutions?

I prefer my Shad system for storage, looks good, can fit a ton of stuff and if needed pops off with a twist of the key. As a matter of fact it lulls people into a false sense of that bike isn't fast. I prove them wrong all the time

I prove them wrong all the time Those actually look pretty good and dont require huge scaffoldings ruining the look of the rear. Would go for them if they didnt require the stock licenceplate holder (i assume from pictures) Its funny how as soon as you fit bags on a bike, people assume its slow. Most bikes with bags would smoke pretty much any car out there.

I really like my bike as it is now (pic below), with just cosmetic changes. The Ogio tailbag looks and fits really good (shown below unexpanded)... although I'd have liked to be able to run the straps below the seat, rather than under the tail, but it wasn't possible on the FZ. Anyway, I'd like to only add 2 slim side soft bags in case I need them, although I plan to haul the bike on my truck or trailer most of the times, negating the need for anything else than my trusty Ogio tailbag. I really liked 0002's Blaze bags, but would like to know if they fit with my Vagabond tail tidy, and if there's a way to adjust the bars to tuck the bags in at the bottom, since they look like crap flared out, which looks unnecessary. As noted, my bike also has the comfort seat, which will pull them higher, since that seat is at least an inch higher at the rear than stock... but that seems like a good thing, so the bags should flare less, in case the bars are not adjustable (like I suspect). My bike also has a Graves slip-on, but it's shorter than stock, and at the same angle, so it shouldn't be any issues. Those are the only bags that I liked, so hopefully they'll fit with the stock turn-signals on the Vagabond tail tidy, since I don't want to replace them, especially for those integrated ones (they're dangerous to me). Hopefully somebody has these bags with a Vagabond TT, to know if it's doable or not. For a reference to others, my turn signals protrude exactly the same as the comfort seat at its widest part. Hope it's not an issue. By the way, the OEM bags are $700 with brackets, and they're horrible. The Blazes are way better IMO, and at half the price. Hope they fit. That's all I'd add, if at all. No rack, no tank bag, no windscreen, no electronic crap, no nothing. If I ever tour alone, might buy a helmet set and hopefully hear nav directions with the phone in my pocket if it ever comes to that. Awesome bike as it is . Thanks gang. JC

Been using a tail bag with backpack. Did 1100 mile trip and wasn't too bad. Glad it only gets 110 to tank for the much needed rest stops. Really like this set up. good post
