The panniers are SOLID and very well engineered. The instructions are somewhat lacking, in the which screw to use, department. Overall the installation is quick and easy. It would take me 10 minutes to install/remove the top bag and panniers. When removed there is a Velcro handle that lets you carry both bags like luggage. Once locked in they do not move at all. There is ample Velcro and it is automotive grade. The side rods are QD and they completely hold the bags from moving in. The back sides are stiff so they will hold their shape and have a rubber material on them to stop movement. The insides are a red padding. The red helps you to see what's in the bags. The zippers are (2) YYZ and they wrap around allowing complete access to the opening. SW-Motech also includes waterproof roll bags for each side that completely fit expanded or zipped down. The sides expand to double the volume of the bag. There is a small zippered side pocket as well. When the pannier is not expanded you could still lane split. Expanded I could easily get 3 days of clothes, an extra pair of shoes and toiletries kit. When closed I could two days worth.
The top bag is the SW-Motech EVO Day tank bag that is mounted to the rear rack with the SW-Motech quick disconnect tank ring system. It's small enough not to get in the way of your leg swing and looks clean by itself. It is also expandable and can have a power cord from under the seat connected through it for additional charging.
What makes this system great is there are additional sized bags from SW-Motech should one want more storage.
I can't say enough about SW-Motech quality. Well worth the investment.

Looks good and functional. Agree the SW-Motech stuff is top drawer in the quality department, I have frame sliders and engine sliders by them, typical German engineering. That is one T-A-L-L-L windscreen.

It's quick release and looks like it was never there when removed. When I sit on the bike my helmet is over it (5' 11"). But it W-O-R-K-S, and that's the only reason to have one. It's not necessary needed around town. It's a miracle above 60 mph. I'll make a .gif of its movement.

Thanks for the post and link. I've been waiting for the Blaze bags to hit the states for a couple months now. I talked to the U.S. distributor and they couldn't give me an ETA. I have trip planned for June and needed more luggage space but I wanted the snap on snap off option. When I talked to Distributor I told him it should be a pretty simple process since it is the same bike there shouldn't be anything more to do. He indicated that the Euro and U.S. products have different part numbers because the support arms are different due to clearance issues for the wider Euro license plates. It seemed legit, but since they seemed to work fine for you I just ordered my set right now. Between these and my Kriega soft bags I should have plenty of room for my week long trip to Georgia for the annual East coast FZ1 rally. Now I just need to order my sliders, brake lines, brake pads, and shorty levers. I've got my new tires in the garage which I'll mount up this week and I should be ready to roll. 5 weeks and 4 days away, but who's counting.
Look on the bright side, when you're not using your windscreen you can set it out next to the interstate and sell billboard space.

All you haters can get beat to shit by the wind.....me....not so much. It's only big boned in the photos. Expect about 8-10 business days before they show. Expect the French postal service to give no updates for 4-6 days. (the French and their Frencie ways) I received the same answer from SW-Motech corp. (US distributer was an a-hole). If I had to SWAG a guess, SW-Motech is making the Yamaha OEM bags (look about the same) and there is an agreement not to compete. When I looked at the individual part numbers for the mounts/bars/bags from the FZ-09/07 vs MT-10 the only difference is the bags. The FZ-10 bags are Blaze-H (H being the critical part | 09's are just Blaze). I assume these mean HIGH. After mounting them I can see the difference in the slider tube on the bag allowing for it to mount higher with a slight angle forward. They are well above my exhaust. Although I did stop and let the bike idle for a few before turning it off. The right bag was warm to the touch underneath but not inside. Not melting hot by any means. I think they will be fine with my exhaust. It would not be an issue moving. I would also suggest the SW-Motec rear rack. When you lock the bags over the seat with the velcro the rack also helps to keep the solidly mounted. The locking strap is also there as well. I road with them last night at speed and I didn't feel anything different. We had pretty high winds and I didn't feel any weird tail issues.

You wouldn't have a side view picture from the exhaust side would you? I have the Akra system which sits about the same place as the stock exhaust. I'd say a bit higher, but further back than your set up, from the one rear picture. It's just kind of hard to gauge. If not it isn't that big of a deal. I've already ordered. I assumed they developed the bags with the stock system in mind, so as long as mine is close to that, I should be good.

That looks pretty close to mine. Mine maybe an inch higher and maybe extends an inch or two to the rear, but the exhaust port angle is less upward and more aft so I'd say I'll be okay. Thanks again.

Are there any straps that connect to the rods or that connect each saddle bag together. I ended up buying the quick disconnect rods but I have Viking Bags sport saddle bags. Trying to figure out the best way to use the two together before having to spring for the SWs

(See Pictures) There is HD Velcro that connects the bags over the seat. Once the bags are removed there is a HD Velcro handle that locks them together to be carried like luggage. If you have the SW-Motech rear rack it will prevent the bags from moving back as well.

Well I got my Sw-Motech Blaze bags today. I ordered the morning of 5/3/2017 and got them this morning 5/17/2017. Two weeks isn't bad since they were coming from France by way of Germany.
I'll be doing the install tonight I'll time it and see how many beers it takes.
