Just got my bike and Sat and put 400 miles on it so far (that's 643km for you folks across the pond). Barely noticed the little blinking black LCD block on the fuel gauge letting me know that I was almost out of fun juice. Seems like there should be a yellow warning light letting you know that in another 30 miles (or less) you're going to be standing by the side of the road with your thumb out.

Once that LCD starts flashing the mileage counter starts counting from ZERO which is the best indication that you are on the last gallon of fuel. I usually hit that point at about 125 miles. I essentially just watch the trip meter and I know how far I can go before I need to start looking for fuel.
