Can anyone give any recommendations for waterproof gloves that work? I've been through several different "waterproof gloves" over the years and not a single pair actual kept the water out more than 20 minutes or so...

I've been using the Five GT1 Waterproof Gloves, and they've kept my hands nice and dry through some pretty good rain storms when I do long distance touring. Great technical protection, doesnt feel super bulky and comes in 3xl.

I hate the "waterproof" search of any kind. It rains a lot in Savannah, but it's also hot and humid. My gear cabinet (and old gear storage bin) is loaded with failed experiments.
One-piece suits that require contortionist training to use, then to find a snagged zipper. Frog Toggs bullshit line of paper sponges. Gloves that work until you take them off and the entire liner slides out with your hand, then never goes back where it belongs. (Especially now that your hands are wet.)
I missed a lot of photo ops in Eastern Tennessee for the loose liner issue. I stopped for one photo, then spent 20 minutes trying to get my cold wet hands back into my gloves. No more photo stops on that ride.
Finally, I found the FirstGear Fargo gloves. Fairly warm, but not too thick. The liner stays in place. You can still feel heated grips.
Not a summer glove though. I still need to find the right pair.

Love my Held Air and Dry's! year round glove for me. The only time they aren't IDEAL is cold weather...like the mornings when it is below 35 degrees. It takes about 25 miles before my fingers are cold though since I have a long commute. They are spendy but mine have held up great.

not sure about the Held Air N Dry's, but if my Held gloves (while pricey) are any indication (I have the Held Phantom), I'm sure the Air N Dry's are a great product, too. I love my Phantom's.
I've never solved the waterproof gloves, either. I bought Aerostich Triple Digit covers (www.aerostich.com/aerostich-triple-digit-covers.html). the only problem is, because they are an "overgarment," you never have them when you need them if it rains unexpectedly!
regards, Tony

Welp, the Held air n dry gloves are a pretty penny, but it seems the consensus is they work, which is what I need! I do believe I'll order a pair of these. Is the sizing true? I usually wear smalls, the only stipulation I have is the fingers are usually way too long for my hands...
