aw man, wish I'd known you'd be there 0002s, I'd have come down! a buddy of mine lives in the Austin area, but he didn't look at the calendar and made plans out of town, so I figured I'd pass and go to MotoAmerica in Atlanta instead. haven't been to MotoGP since it was 500GPs at Laguna in 1994. promised myself I'd go see more racing in person this year.

one of my beef's with racing coverage is that it seems the commentators feel as if they have to fill EVERY SECOND of the broadcast with commentary. that was only reinforced this weekend by Jason Pridmore. while I can appreciate his insights as a former racer/champ/track day provider/etc, it was just over-the-top. in fact, I watched the Moto3 race last night, and they lost the audio of just the commentators for about 4 laps. it was phenomenal - you could hear the bikes and not have to listen to innane commentary.
had to get that out... I feel better now.
