The situation and plot (if that's the right word for this) has thickened. It's being rumored on a go fund me page for the injured driver that Yammie had weak sauce insurance and it won't pay for all the car. But the big rumor from the go fund me page is that he was riding on a suspended license.
Again these are the rumors and I have no facts on this.
I'm like the media with my unnamed sources.

At least you're admitting the unnamed sources haha!

Well the source is from the go fund me page, but there is no proof that page is for real past the Porsche site that started it.

That's the thing about a lot of people on the road today, if they have insurance, they are just using state minimum limits, which is different in every state, but usually aren't very good. In the state of Illinois, where I live, the state minimum liability limits are $25,000/$50,000/$20,000. The first number is the limit the policy will pay for one person you are liable for injuring, the second is the limit it will pay for more than one person injured, and the third number is the max payout for property damaged. So in this case, assuming there was only one person in the Porsche the policy is only going to pay $25,000 for the drivers injuries and $20,000 for damage to the car. That's it, after that the insurance company is done paying for any third party damages and it now shifts back to your responsibility. Last time I checked a new Porsche is a hell of a lot more than $20,000 and $25,000 doesn't go very far at a hospital. Now the Porsche driver's policy has coverage for uninsured/underinsured bodily injury and collision coverage to help offset some of that, but they are sure to come after Yammieass and try to recoup anything they can.
Moral of the story, increase your liability and uninsured/underinsured limits to the highest you can afford to carry. No matter which side of the accident you fall on, whether you are at fault or someone else, you'll be glad you have it. Just because you aren't at fault for the accident doesn't mean everything is going to be okay and if you're at fault just having insurance doesn't mean everything is going to be taken care of.

Texas is:
$60,000 bodily injury coverage total per accident $25,000 property damage coverage per accident $30,000 bodily injury coverage for each injured person in an accident
The Porsche was used with a note. So to your point there is a gap in the coverage to replace the car. The issue is going to be used replacement value.
His insurance should make up the difference depending on what the value of the used vehicle is compared to the note.
Any lapse in the coverages should be taken care of by the drivers car policy. The car insurance will attempt to collect from the bikes insurance for the delta.
Any lawsuits to Yammie will be handled after that in civil court.
If he was riding on a suspended license then there is a penalty to his licenses. If it's non DUI related suspension, Yammie will get more time added to his current suspension.

Yeah, he doesn't get it. There is no excuse for what he did past poor judgement. Driving on a suspended in TX due to points is very clear on what has to be done to reinstate. The rest of his video makes him look bad or maybe it shows the true him. Either way I'll doubt he will be riding anytime soon, if ever.

A guy making money off of vlogging bitching about people prying into his personal business is like a stripper complaining about being seen naked.
