Hello to all,
Just picked my 2017 FZ-10 last Saturday and have to say in my over forty years of riding this is one of those bikes that just speaks to you. Not into canyon carving or track days anymore that was a long time ago but I've always had for the most part a bike that could really get out of it's own way for the most part. The FZ sure fits that bill.
Not going to do many mods, have a set of Tourmaster soft bags and a set of TechSpec snake skin pads ordered. Thought I was going to need a more robust windshield but was amazed at the level of breaking up the wind the current design does. We'll see on that one for now. Anyway, great to be here hope to learn from all the members.

Welcome aboard. I've been riding 41 years and agree the FZ-10 is one of those bikes that just feels right. Started out on a 1976 Honda CB-550 which had probably no more than 40-45 hp...an out-of-the-box FZ-10 is literally light years away in every respect; power, performance, tires, wheels, brakes, lighting, suspension, riding aids, and on and on. For those that have a need to mod that is fine, but isn't really necessary to enjoy performance that wasn't even dreamed about when we started riding.
Keep an open mind on the windscreen, I just couldn't stand the windblast on the stock setup and ended up with a Powerbronze screen. Makes a big difference in comfort, imho.

Welcome and congratulations on a fine choice. I tried one replacement screen and sent it back. There was zero improvement as claimed in their advertising. Unless your time spent is mostly above 100 mph, the stock spoiler does a fantastic job.
