Hey guys,
I've had my FZ-10 for a couple of weeks now, and have managed to put 200 miles dodging all the snow storms out here in Utah! (Don't worry, if there's ice or snow anywhere in the vicinity of the roads, the bike stays parked in the garage.)
But ever since I rode it away from the dealer, for the first few clutch-releases in 1st gear of the day the rear end seems to shake a bit. At first I thought it was just the clutch being new and chattering a bit as I let it out, but I've tried being more aggressive or more gentle with it, and nothing I do makes a difference. After the first few minutes of riding this disappears. I speculate it has to do with the bike warming up. Could it also be my chain being too tight and fighting the weight shift to the rear of the bike? I'm going to measure the play in the chain when I get off work, but I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else.

Probably just an artifact of a cold engine, perhaps you aren't feeding it enough fuel through the grip and it is stumbling a bit. I checked my chain at about 300 mi and it was waaaaay loose, loose enough that I could pull a link off the back sprocket to show half the tooth. So always good to check and lube the chain in the early stages of break in. This includes checking all the fittings and screws. The four hex head screws on the front cowling were only hand tight.
