I've been through it before on Harley's and classics that I've customized. One can do too much in terms of color accents. These wheels are going to look awesome on danyboy24 's bike. I want to get a look at the final install before I go further with red. On on the other hand. I already bought new replacement parts for the pieces I painted red. I could do red wheels and put the new black pieces on if the red was too much. Hmmmmm.......

I decided on yellow accents versus red. It all started with red wheel stripes. After applying them, the shades of red were so much different that I immediately pulled them back off. Rather than struggle with trying to match the -10 dark red, I decided on yellow. I give Blue credit for his sample artwork. Yesterday, my racing stripe came in the mail. Most importantly, it color matched the pin-striping and wheel tape. It was being sold as a hood stripe for a car or truck, so it was 6" wide by 72" long for $10. I cut it to my liking and put it on the tank using a masking tape locating guide. The material was quite a bit thicker and stiffer than the pin-striping, making it hard to apply over irregular curved surfaces. I used my wife's hairdryer to soften it up enough to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.

Sorry dancing Tiger man, but I'm not a big fan of the pin striping along the edge of the tank and under the seat. It just seems too much and it doesn't really flow right to my eye. I'm digging the tank stripe and wheel tape though. Can't really say about the others as it's hard to see in the pics. Opinions will vary, but we both know mines the only one that matters, now go fix it.
*I didn't mean to quote deftone I'm just struggling using the board so far. This black is mucking with me.

Love the red wheels. Do you have a color code or anything for that?

Looks much better this way. I am a fan of total black out or adding dome red on this color scheme, but the way it comes from Yamaha leaves something to be desired.

They look great!! Matching the color would be the hard part! I had that problem on my CB1000R with the gold color.
