I made a helmet hook for 3 bucks. Buy 2 inch L brackets from Home Depot, drill a slightly larger 3/8 hole to fit the bolt collar, bend the bracket and make 2 cuts to trim. Sand, test fit and paint. When the seat is locked down, the hook recesses up in the pan and makes it impossible to get off.

Problem solved.
