This will be an ongoing review as I've just been able to do brief high speed runs to test various tunes due to weather and some delayed parts. The exhaust arrived nicely packaged from a Graves drop-ship. The mid pipe fit perfectly and the provided clamps were very secure. The mid pipe does not have bungs for the stock sensors so an ecu flash is about the only real option if you're considering this exhaust. The mid pipe does have the standard size bung and cap used by PC, Bazzaz, and FTECU AFR sensors. Graves provides a new right heel guard that when installed, repositions the exhaust can mount upwards slightly. This provides for more of a high mount look but has a minor drawback. If you plan to install aftermarket rearsets, you may have to modify or even fabricate a new mount to match the altered mounting location of the pipe. The can mounts to the mid pipe perfectly and the overall mounting is very secure. I selected the Graves 3/4 system for a few reasons. Mainly it was because I knew that they produced tunes for FTECU licensees that matched their systems. I also thought that with having a longer can it might be a little quieter than the Akrapovic mid/slipon combo that I considered too loud for the street. To my ear, they are about the same. The boom just off idle could be cured with an EXUP like device which I hear may be offered on future pipes from Graves. Once underway, the noise is pleasing. Performance is tough for me to rate because I didn't tune my bike in stages and no dynomometer was used. The pipe, along with the appropriate Graves map enhanced by ActiveTune adjustments, transformed the bike. I expected a bike that liked to wheelie but Holy Crap!! The power seems very linear without any perceptible surging. I'll be working with a local tuner soon to see if we can better the results from the Graves/ActiveTune configuration but for now I'm very happy with the pipe and tune.

Talk to Nels at 2wheeldynoworks. He just got done doing a flash for this system. It is better than the Graves one. Here is the dyno sheet. Most hp and tq of any exhaust he has done so far.

The 2WDW tune that I tried before choosing a different path felt great - no complaints. I recommend them for anyone okay with a hands off approach to tuning their bike or fixing issues with the FTECU ecu image (cruise control, diagnostic port, etc.). With my own ecu access, I also get enjoyment from experimenting with various tunes so there's that. As for the Graves tune, it seems to improve with every test run due to ActiveTune and the fact that I'm still getting to know a new bike. With the FTECU harness, I also get uncorked baseline tunes that are unlocked and ready to optimize with direct input along with live or batch adjustments from ActiveTune. Should be fun!

Just make sure you get Nels latest map. I sent him my exhaust about 3 weeks ago. He made a custom just for this exhaust. I too have the bike side tuning kit and active tune tuner.
