The motorcycle industry is in a funk right now, sales are down except for a few specific areas. I was at a large multi-line dealer the other day and was chatting with the sales manager, the dealership thought the FZ-10 was going to be flying out the door when they came out but the response has been very muted and soft. They trickle out but they aren't the huge sales success they thought they would be. Perhaps it is the price, maybe the design, or just the wrong bike at the wrong time. It is hard to predict where the new generation of bike riders will be coming from....a lot just don't have the scratch to ride a bike now, they are too busy just affording a car, apartment and student loan payment.
