Alright guys. The moment you've been waiting for, how does the cheapest Stainless Steel Dan-Moto Link Pipe ($175) fit and how is the finish? Well, It does fit.... Mostly...but it looks good too. Allow me to explain: 1. The link pipe DOES NOT re-use the gaskets that the OEM Catalytic converter does where it attaches to the header pipes but fits very tightly and clamps nicely over the header pipes with a few good smacks from a rubber mallet and cranking down the Stainless T-Bolt clamps included with the link pipe using a 10mm Socket. 2. The OEM gasket/clamp where the OEM silencer attaches DOES fit and can be used successfully. 3. The length and bends of the link pipe DO line up nicely with the OEM Silencer and OEM Headers and you should have no problem installing it with the OEM Silencer 4. The bracket in the middle of the pipe did NOT line up with the OEM center hanger and needed to be drilled once everything else was lined up and in place to be secured. It probably isn't necessary to have that support, but I drilled the hanger and installed the bolt as you can see in the pictures. This hanger is only visible while viewing the underside of the motorcycle. 5. The link pipe did NOT come with O2 Sensor plugs, if you are eliminating the O2's you will need to pick up (2) 12 x 1.25 x 20 Stainless bolts with (2) 12mm Stainess lock-washers to plug the holes for about $4.00. Also, use some sort of Locktite on the theads. I used the Blue Locktite. 6. The Finish and welds are very decent for the price, the surface came polished and without scratches or dings. Welds are clean. 7. Sound.... I have not a clue, my ECU is on its way to 2 Wheel Dynoworks for a flash so I will not know for at least a few days. Rest assured I will be following up on this thread to express my opinion but as far as comparing it to other link pipes I'm willing to bet they all sound the same. So.. Fear not my FZ-10 friends, this product does in fact fit and look good. I rate it a 7 out of 10, as the price compensates for the lack of O2 plugs and drilling of the hanger. I would buy this pipe 3 times before purchasing the Akrapovic Link pipe at $600+. The next Step will be installing the Akrapovic Slip-on to improve the look and further refine the exhaust tone. photo upload sites

This is the best I can do at the moment. But I'll be posting up a few more pics once I get it out on the road this weekend.

YES... It is in fact loud as hell. But it sounds awesome and doesn't pop or backfire with the Block Off plates installed.

I am having a lot of play with the stock muffler and oem gasket clamp attached to the link pipe. Not enough to fully back off due to the 6mm bolt into the rear bracket but it's pretty significant. Will the heat from a few miles expand it enough to create a good seal?

If my bike could travel at the speed of light, would my headlights work?

Will the heat from a few miles expand it enough to create a good seal? If you can feel air blowing out with at idle from leak than not likely will it seal. I would try purchasing some thin muffler wrap from any auto parts store and work for a better fit.
