Originally I gravitated towards the Akrapovich Titanium Slip-on and Titanium Link pipe but after some deliberation I've decided to get the Akra slip-on and a stainless Link pipe section to save a few $$$ and keep the pipe material the same as the headers. Are any of you aware of a very well constructed Stainless Link pipe that is made by a reputable manufacturer? Looking to Keep the 02 Sensors also.

What do you consider reputable ?
I picked up a Danmoto mid pipe for $186. The welds are really nice. It's made in China, but so are half the parts on the FZ-10.
The Akirapovic piece is nice, but way over priced. To me, that speaks to a reputation.
SP Engineering makes one for about $300.

If I did just the link the big thing for me would be getting one that kept the good lines of the stock can.
I have seen some who got link pipes for the R1 and it fits bUt the can is lowered to far.
You got your Danmoto mounted yet slv?

You got your Danmoto mounted yet slv? Not mounted yet. I'm waiting until my next business trip. I'll mount the mid pipe, take care of the cold air issue, and send my ECU for flash the day before I leave. When I come back, plug in the ECU and go! I'll have pics in the step-by-step thread in the tech section. I did coat it with VHT high temp ceramic.

One of the biggest problems I have with the de-CAT process is the looks. The bike just looks out of place and a "just thrown on there" look at the bottom without the guard and CAT filling in the space. The coating looks like it might help, but I just can't get past the pipe going for so long. Not that kinda pipe, get your mind outta the gutter... I'm thinking the can would have to be closer to the Y intersect, but mounting would be difficult.

I like my Leo Vince de-cat, It was a used bargain and the previous owner had it ceramic coated so it looks better and I don't mind the small pre silencer in the pipe. It keeps the volume to loud but reasonable.
