I was under the impression that you were supposed to adjust the chain on the side stand, not a paddock stand.

Thanks for the video. Just a quick correction, according to the MT-10 service manual the chain slack range when measured on a stand is 25-35mm, if measured on the side stand the range is 20-30mm. Easiest way to do it is to put it on the stand, measure it and adjust it. Don't even fool around trying to do this while on the side stand, it is just too awkward. Everyone should spring for a pair of spools and a good stand for the rear wheel, it makes routine maintenance so much easier and pleasant.

Makes sense. You can always check it afterwards on the side stand to verify the procedure. It's not that critical anyway as long as it's not super tight or super loose. Wheel alignment is the other thing to verify.

Hey all! Glad to see my videos are being noticed This video was actually filmed prior to getting my hands on the actual service manual so I was only going on the owner's manual in which I missed the line about being on the side stand. I will add an annotation with the corrected chain slack.
