Hi! I have been experiencing my mt-10 going into neutral while quick-shifting from first to second almost every time, regardless of amount of throttle applied. I searched around a biit and there seems to be some 'gear shift support' thing you could purchase online, which supposively helps with that and provides a better feel when shifting. There seems like a company in the UK sells one for like 50 bucks, but i bought a cheap one from aliexpress for 10 bucks instead. The reviews i could se on the stores and on youtube seemed positive, although i think it might be a placebo effect. I was wondering if anyone has one and if it actually has made any difference? If not, would it still be fine to install it anyways? Just wouldn't want to damage anything. Thankful for any responses?

I have the Racetorx one on mine. I still hit neutral going from 1-2 sometimes and even 2-1 with the blipper on occasion. You're just not hitting the shifter hard enough, when I put some force into it I never had issues. I believe most MFR's say not to even use the QS 1-2 for that reason, I know I read it somewhere.

I have the Racetorx shift shaft support, but I never use the quick shifter going from 1st to 2nd gear, I always use the clutch. Also I only use my quick shifter above 4500 or 5000 rpms.

Make sure you check out your shift linkage as well. I was having hard shifting at one point and a simple adjustment of the linkage fixed everything.

Thanks for the reply guys! I'll go ahead and order the cheap one on aliexpress (for 10 bucks it's worth a shot). I'm however not sure how to check or adjust the shift linkage, i'll do some research and get it done asap. There's about 6 months left of snow now in Sweden until i ride again, but that just means more fun in the garage! Thanks again

Thanks again There's locknuts on the top/bottom of the linkage arm, you loosen those (one is left-hand thread!) and turn the shift rod to lengthen/shorten it. According to the Yamaha manual the angle between the shift arma nd shift rod is supposed to be at 90º.

I also bought the RaceTorx gear shift support and it made no difference, IMO. I've never had trouble (landing in neutral) when shifting between first and second gear in either direction, but I did notice that the shifter feel isn't as positive as I'd like it to be on my 2023. I was skeptical that the support would actually do anything, and I was right. No difference in overall feel. The lack of solid shifter feel comes from the quickshifter/auto-blipper sensor being inline. All my other bikes without a quickshifter had a much more positive feel when shifting.
