I joined this forum after purchasing my 2023 MT-10 earlier this year and I'm very surprised at the lack of membership/participation here. It's quite dead, which is disappointing. Is there another forum or group somewhere online where all the FZ/MT-10 owners are congregating and having discussions? It's always the same few guys I see posting here and rarely are there any new threads or topics posted. Surely, there must be a more active community surrounding this awesome machine somewhere online!
ETA: No offense meant by this thread. I love participating here, just wish there was more activity. It's almost down to zero movement. 🫤

I know our bikes aren't super popular but I too expected a little more activity here. Maybe owners are just busy riding? The Honda ST1300 forum is super busy all the time with posts and group rides/meetups etc and that bike has been out of production for like 10 years. Maybe if our bikes had more issues the forum would be more active, happily they don't! I know, I'm one of the regular posters, go figure.

I'm here everyday, just don't post much. Most FZ/MT 10 owners are of the younger age group and do all the Facebook pages instead of forums. I personally can't stand the social media sites and stay on the forums. Anyway that's what they keep telling me.

We don't have a super common bike and I think over the years, younger generations have been attracted more to things like Facebook groups rather than these forums. Still, forums are amongst the best place to find technical information especially if you're saavy with searching. Where as Facebook groups are downright annoying sometimes.
I'm still on two other motorcycle forums, and you've seen a noticeable decline in engagement even with really popular bikes. It's just changing times.
Still, i love this forum. I've been on various forums my whole entire life and this one has been the coolest with the most chill people. Hardly ever any drama. A core group of people that keep it going and try to help others out. I'd like to say we got the quality over quantity thing going on.

The FB groups (there's like 3-4 of them and a few more that are second-gen specific) are pretty busy but they can get annoying. I also much prefer the forum style, especially when it comes to searching and just viewing info in general. Then there's the sadists that prefer things like Discord. I hate Discord. It feels like a 2000's-era AOL chatroom style thing. Just everyone chatting in one long thread. Useless IMO.

Couple times I set a timer on my phone to see how long it takes for me to become annoyed after opening facepalm book. I think it was 30 seconds. It's designed to get peoples' blood boiling, that whole recreational outrage thing is how some poor bastards get their kicks. I just stay away.

MT10 FB and Reddit forums are pretty active. MT10 has around 10 posts/day. They're for entertainment and its difficult to search for content, but between the two, Reddit is better for finding info. Its just easier to share on these social sites. If you hate social, try Reddit. Its more like a forum that you may find easier to get into.

I hate FB with a passion, but I figured the answer would be that most of the conversation is happening in the damn FB groups. I guess I'll have to try and find them. I love information and other discussion regarding the bikes I own, and this forum just never has any movement, unfortunately. It's only a few moments from death, it seems. As other have stated, forums are way better than FB groups or other channels. Just wish the participation was higher. Maybe we need to start giving out participation trophies in order to up the level of participation? 🤣

There's also: - YAMAHA MT-10 OWNERS. THE DARK SIDE
- Yamaha MT-10 Riders
- Yamaha MT-10
- Yamaha MT-10 Gen 2 Owners
- Yamaha MT-10 SP Owners
- Yamaha MT-10 Selling Page
- Yamaha MT-10 UK Owners Club
- MT-10 Owners UK
- MT-07 / MT-09 / MT-10 / XSR / Trager 9GT Owners
- Yamaha MT-10 Owners Club Philippines
- YAMAHA MT FORUM / PARTS MT07 MT09 MT10
- Yamaha MT-10 Community Worldwide
- MT-10 Owners Australia
and so many more, tons are region-specific.

That's crazy. This shows exactly why a single forum dedicated to the MT-10 would be so much better than 10-20 separate FB groups. Information/discussion can be shared/had much more efficiently in a single place than a bunch of separate places. I'll never understand why people prefer FB groups over forums. Thanks for the information, man.

I’m an old fu(ker and prefer this pace to be honest. Facecrack, reddit, and others are just not good at compiling data for use IMO.
