Greetings All,
I was thinking on my way to work on my usual route and as I go through a corner, a massive tree branch lands in front and I had no time to stop. I ran into with my 2023 MT10SP US model. The damage doesn’t seem that bad as the bike even stayed upright. Basically the front end of it got smashed up. From what I can tell, I will need a new radiator, front headlight assembly with the front stay and a new dash because when I went to pick up the bike from the impound, there was no dash. My concern is if I buy a new dash, will it just plug and play or do I need to do something with the ECU or harness. Also are there any websites I can browse through for upgraded parts instead of just buying OEM replacements. I’d rather upgrade where I can than put it back to how it was. Thank you in advance.

Partzilla.com is great for OEM parts. This is going to be an expensive fix - I'd be going through insurance for sure. The dash is plug and play although the mileage is stored in the dash so a new dash = 0 miles. Not sure if it's possible for a dealer to reset it with their YDS tool or if that's even possible.

What a shame, man. I feel for you! I'd definitely be running this through insurance because it's going to be a very expensive repair. On such a new bike, I'd be repairing everything with brand new OEM parts, not used stuff.

There's really no "upgrade" for headlight and radiator that exists. Or that's common anyway. Why was the bike impounded? That's usually associated with a crime lol.
