Small detail brush and a can of satin black spray paint. Spray the brush and dry the excess drops on the brush and carefully trace ONLY the scratch line.

I've always had good luck with Sharpies. Do it with a brand new one with a fine tip. Fill the line then immediately wipe it. Re-do if needed. The marker tends to stick on the scratched portion since it's slightly lower than the surrounding metal and wiping off the excess makes it less noticable since sharpie can sometimes look purple ish, especially if you lay down to thick of a line.

I agree w RedAndBlack. Paint will stand out too much, sharpie is the way. You start polishing on it with solvents and stuff you could make it look way worse; like a big blob of overly shiny or dull.

Sharpies are purple, paint is black. Applied correctly paint wins. More durable too.

I definitely agree with that. Sharpie is the poor man's method. Haha

The new MT-10's don't have black frames. They're grey, along with the swingarm and engine case covers. You can see the difference in this picture. Compare the frame to the black plastic frame cover and the painted black ram air tube. It's difficult to really see it, but in person they are a gunmetal grey color.

Thanks for replies, im thinking some sort of frame protector stickers the grippy type that people normally use for boots area i dunno if anyone makes them but that might be an easier solution and would stop any potential marks from knees i have log legs so they could touch that area

Unless you're 9' tall and riding atop the gas tank, your knees will never touch that far up on the frame. Even if they did for some reason, it would be an extremely rare occurance, and certainly not often enough to create additional wear and tear. Don't over think it. It's a small scratch. See if Yamaha offers frame touch-up paint in the correct color. If not, any automotive grade touch-up paint in a matching color would work. They offer them in pen form, as well as small brush top bottles. Hell, even a grey sharpie marker would work to hide that small of a blemish.

Bikes actually back with dealers, they say they cant rectify it, im not sure why, are these powder coated or textured paint? I think you're worrying too much about that little scratch. If that's worrying you enough that you've taken the bike back to the dealer, then I'm afraid you'll be very disappointed to find that actually riding the bike will inevitably put many scratches on the frame, forks, swingarm, and other parts and pieces from rocks and other random debris encountered on the road. Fill that little scratch in with a similarly colored Sharpie or paint pen and go ride it.
