I believe the rear subframe is a different design compared to the Gen 1 MT's. I don't think they would fit.

I believe the rear subframe is a different design compared to the Gen 1 MT's. I don't think they would fit. From what I've seen the gen 2 lacks the mounting points that the gen 1 has. Gen 1: notice the two horizontal mounting lugs on either side, right where the #10 is and then right at the back. Images were taken from the 2019 and 2023 model years Gen 2 is missing those: Interestingly enough the side braces on the gen 2 are different - no lightening holes and slots. They're just solid except for one hole. also the center cross brace/mount is shaped differently and moved forward on the gen 2

Thanks Yamaha. Dumbasses. Yeah, it's frustrating. There are a couple bag options for the second gen, but very, very few, and those that do generally run a support back from the passenger peg mounts.

You can do it if you’re willing to do a little fabrication. Shad’s 1st gen rack will work with the factory Yamaha rack with some modifications. I’ll post details when it’s done. Not too difficult.

The side case rack is the 3P for the 1st gen from Shad. The topcase rack is the factory Yamaha rack that fits both gen’s. The front mount for the 3P is in the same location on both gen’s. The rear mount on the 3P used to have 2 bolt holes but the front facing one needs to be cut off with a grinder with a cut off wheel. Then just grind the cut edge smooth and paint with satin black rust oleum. Put the front mount bolt in the 3P rack and lightly attach it to the bike, rotate the rack up to meet the side of the Yamaha rack and mark the center of the bolt hole. Drill a 5/16” hole through the marked location (it’s solid aluminum and strong). Then bolt it up using Shad’s provided hardware. It was rock solid this way, but I made an additional mid point bracket out of 1/8”x1” aluminum stock I had laying around just because. It’s totally solid now and can hold either the SH23 bags or any of their larger bags if needed.
