Sharing in case others would find this interesting. I've never had my oil analyzed in decades of riding but thought it would be cool to see what happens over time with a new bike. This was for my '23 MT10 SP with the change at 535 miles. Overall, I'd say the results are pretty much what I expected. Mods: If this should go in one of the tech forums, please move it.

It'll be interesting to follow along with it as you do your services. What was the cost to get it done?

MindCrime nailed it. The analysis actually took longer than I expected. I think it was 4-5 weeks from the time I sent the sample, but I didn't track it exactly. Other than that, very easy process. At this rate the next change will be in the Fall for storage, but it will be short of the recommended mileage. I'll keep the thread updated with new results as they're available.

This is something I should have done with my '23 MT-10. I actually thought about it, but then completely forgot until now when it's too late. I did my first oil change at 166 miles and my second at 641 miles. I'm currently at around 1100 miles on the bike, so about 500 miles into that second one.
I break my new bikes in semi-lightly for the first 25-35 miles and then threat them as I normally would after that, so mine probably break in more quickly than the ones who baby them for 600+ miles. Because of this, I like to get the initial factory fill of oil out as soon as I feel the engine, transmission, and clutch have completed a large portion of their breaking in process. I don't like to leave all that break in material circulating through the engine any longer than I need to, so I do the first and second changes very early.
