I've been considering a set of Michelin Road 6's when I wear out the original Bridgestone S22's on my '23 MT-10. I never really cared for the look of the Road 6's, but I need a tire that performs well but that I won't have to replace every 6 months because it wears out in 3k miles. I used to run Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's on my sport bikes. They performed excellent, but they didn't give me the mileage I was looking for out of the rear tire.
In the end, it depends on how you ride, your expectations as far as tire performance and lifespan, etc. Just out of curiosity, why do you want a 200 series rear tire? The 190/55 looks great and performs excellent.

I have a set of road 6s on my st 1300, they are down right impressive in wet conditions. People on the st forums are claiming 9-13k miles out of the michelins mounted on the rear. Once the s22 on the rear got close the wear bars on my MT, I installed a set of dunlop mutants, while not as sticky as the s22s, wet weather performance is rock solid. They have over 4k miles on them and the rear is not even halfway to the wear bars. The tread pattern is a bit polarizing, most people at first, didn't like them. After awhile of my coworkers seeing them, I started to get compliments. I personally like the look of the tread pattern, I think it compliments the style of the gen 2 mt.

I only want a 200 for the looks and better 2up stability as my fiancé rides with me lots. I’m also in Canada so cooler weather riding on somedays. I was looking at the 6’s as well but I was stuck between them and the gt 2s, I had the gt 2s on my Ducati before and I was absolutely in love with them.

I used to be all about sport-touring tires, but having gone through numerous sets I've formed an opinion or two. Which tires to run is a highly subjective topic; there are countless conditions to consider so the best you can do is generalize for the most part. I'm assuming we're talking about street use only, and cooler, possibly wet conditions. Michelin Pilot Roads are good. Expensive though. ST tires generally wear like bricks, lasting forever compared to soft compounds like the s22. This can be good and bad. Good because you're not buying tires all the time. Bad because most of the tire's life will be used AFTER it's profiled out and the handling is compromised. Or maybe the tires form some cupping and get all wonky that way. Probably both. Maybe, though most of your riding is on the highway in a straight line and a vee'd-out worn profile front tire won't really be noticeable. Personally, I hate the feeling of a profiled front tire. It messes with my lean confidence and cornering lines because the tip-in sort of hangs around in the flat spot in the tire, and you've got to force the bike past that spot to lean more. The more worn the tire, the worse it is. And like I say, the ST tires last an eternity so there you are with a crappy handling tire that is going to be around for the next 10k miles. And there's one example of the subjectivity of tires. It's never ending.

I went with the Angel GT2's after my stock ones wore out. They were great even in the cold. Too bad they're discontinued now. Found that out when I went for another set. Chatting with the guys at RevZilla about tires (my use case is similar to yours - mostly commuting with cold weather (at/slightly below freezing)) and they suggested the Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE. I've had those put on this past winter and so far so good - about 1500 miles on them.

After awhile of my coworkers seeing them, I started to get compliments. I personally like the look of the tread pattern, I think it compliments the style of the gen 2 mt. I've been a long time Michelin Road fan, having run 4's, 5's, and 6's across a range of bikes, but this year I put some Mutants on my '23 MT10SP. I love them. Absolutely fine for traction, very minimal wear (particularly compared to the stock S22's!!), great performance in the wet and dirt. I've taken the MT down dirt roads a few times now, and am pretty comfortable even at speed on (well maintained) dirt roads now. It bears noting that the Mutants are *not* dirt tires; they actually have more land area than Road 6's do, but the particular pattern really hooks up well in dirt. It's entertaining to ride an MT10 like a dirt bike. The Mutants are also quite good in very cold conditions and are actually M+S rated. Traditionally, I've run proper winter tires in the winter, but this year I'm just gonna use the Mutants, and we'll see how that goes.
