Not a MT-10 owner YET...... but it is on my SHORT list of bikes that interest me for a future purchase. I currently own a 2016 Kawasaki Z800 that i purchased new. Have over 40,000km on the dial (25,000 miles). It is my daily driver as well as my touring bike. I have travelled to Western Canada (Banff, Lake Louise, Vancouver) and I have travelled to West USA (Vegas, San Francisco, Malibu, Joshua Tree National Park, Grand Canyon, Arizona, Bryce Canyon, etc) Great bike and i love it........ but, looking for perhaps something a little bit MORE. (Power wise as well as Technology) My short list of bikes would be: Imporant thing to note...... here in Québec, Canada........ anything labelled Streetbike you get hit with a $1698 registration fee every year. (Compared to a non "streetbike" which is $602)
I will be honest........ i am heavily leaning towards the Yamaha after having driven the Duke, MT-10........ and a Tuono 660. Duke i find is not good at low end speeds, thing wants to run and run hard........ but im not tracking this..... its an every day bike, and the Yamaha was a good all around bike. As for the Tuono........Its nice...... but im worried about maintenance costs since it has that Italian heritage. Anyways, i will be floating around on the forum, reading and learning the most I can. In the mean time........ here are is a picture of my Z800, as well as 2 other toys I have. Campane T-Rex 1600CC as well as I built myself a 1979 Honda CX500 from the ground up (took over 3 years to finish it from start to finish)

Here in the UK, the HONDA CX500 was a very common popular courier bike way back when, because they were cheap to run and ultra reliable. As for the MT10, I recently bought a 2021 model and just love it. I even still love it when I had the fairly common problem, inner cracking of one of the headlight lenses. An expensive bill when you can only buy 2 headlights as a set from Yamaha. The Yamaha is comfortable, handles well and is very powerful, if you want it to be of course.

KTM will cost you a premium between sales price and ownership and maintenance schedule. The Japanese never disappoint.
