Hello everyone,
Wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this issue as I'm all out of ideas. Fz10 2017 This has happened multiple times now, Bike will turn off if I try to use momentum with throttle closed and clutch pulled in. Usually in 3rd gear I'll watch the rpm drop from about 8k and fall below 1k. At that point the bike will turn off, I'll still be moving at about 30mph+ so if I release clutch the tires will lock up. I need to put the bike into neutral before starting it up again. I have already cleaned the throttle bodies and replaced fuel pump. Issues just happened again this morning, need some help on this.

How many miles on it? Mine did something similar when it was time for valve clearance check - they were way too tight and had to be adjusted.

Bike has 20.5k miles on it. And yes valve adjustment was one of the first things that came to mind, I had that serviced 3 weeks ago and was told only 2 valves needed adjusting. Apart from that throttle bodies have been cleaned and new fuel pump was added. Bike still died on me today while moving. Not sure what else to replace.

If they cleaned the throttle bodies they may have messed something up. I've heard that if you manually move the throttle plates it'll screw up the settings and it needs to be recalibrated with the dealer tool after.

I'd start with the simple things.
Make sure idle is in spec Check clutch and kickstand sensors. Yes. Even the kickstand sensor. Clean it. Air filter clean?

So I'm even more confused now, tri3d cleaning all the basic stuff. Bike ran fine for 2 days and wouldn't stall even when trying to do it on purpose. On day 3 it went back to stalling but now it's only maybe 2 times. Still while riding in 3rd gear.

Might be the kickstand sensor then. I'm pretty sure we had another member post about it recently. Found it easy to get out of wack. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the design of it, I just know they can be big headaches sometimes. Make sure it's clean and not sticking or out of alignment or whatever. Might even need to be tested with a multimeter.
I gotta be honest though, the 3rd gear thing is weird.
