Good day! I barely speak English... Problems started with my mt-10 in the heat. It starts on cold without any problems, on hot if you stop for 10-15 minutes it starts badly, turns the starter for nothing three times, then catches on and works fine.. If you turn it off and start it right away (well, or after a couple of minutes), it starts without problems... A motorcycle with a mileage of 4,500 km.. What can it be and what would you recommend to see.. We don't have dealers in our country, so we'll have to figure it out for ourselves...

Start with the simple things first. When the bike is warm before you start it, open the fuel cap. How does it start? If it starts easily then you need to check your fuel tank vent lines. They are located by your left footpeg. There will be two. Make sure they are not plugged or kinked.
It does sound like it could be a fuel pump issue or the fuel pressure regulator. If venting the tank does not help I would start looking at the fuel system.

Yea sounds like a vent issue maybe, do what skmt said first. Pop the fuel tank cap slowly and see if you hear a hiss or something indication pressure or a vacuum. If you do definitely check the vent lines. Little mud wasps lie to clog them up from time to time.

And so, the bike is completely stock.. The year of manufacture 2017 was bought in the showroom from a dealer in 2018 and was brought to our country. I bought it last year with a mileage of 3100 km. I changed the oil and that's it. The temperature outside is already 35 degrees Celsius. It started this morning without any problems. Then I drove a few kilometers and turned it off. After about 10 minutes, it started without problems. I drove a few more kilometers to work. I turned it off, waited a few minutes and checked the tank lid - there was no hissing... Then the bike stood for an hour and a half, I checked the tank lid again - it just a little bit spattered (quite imperceptibly). The bike started the first time, but unevenly and the revs were below normal, but after a second everything leveled off and it started working normally. Then I drove a few more kilometers and left him for 40 minutes. I checked the tank lid - nothing hissed, the bike did not start immediately.. The second time it started unevenly and with low RPM, after a couple of seconds it leveled off and worked fine... In my model, there is only one tube to the left of the footrest (according to the scheme, this is an overflow tube) and it is easily blown through. The tank ventilation tube fits into a square box (also on the left under the tank next to the seat), and from it goes to the drossel... It will not be possible to check it indiscriminately and blow it out... There is no smell of gasoline outside... One of the mechanics of cars said that such a problem arises in cars due to the fact that the check valve from the rack does not keep pressure and gasoline evaporates inside the rack and until the injectors push it through, the engine does not start... While I'm looking for a motorcycle mechanic who could remove the tank and pump for me to check the valve... So far, like this, if you have any more ideas, let me check it out. Thanks

Thanks That box is what's known as a charcoal canister. It's there for emissions reasons and is connected to the tank vent. If that canister is clogged somehow that can cause your issue as well as one line from it connects to your intake. If you overfill the tank (or it sits in the sun and gets real hot) it'll get too much fuel vapors in it and make it run rich on startup or not start at all. Here in the US only California bikes have it, the rest of the US bikes do not. You can remove it fairly easily if it's not something that's required and inspected in your country. Ah! Const1c, That sounds like your other vent tube is connected to the same thing we have here in California. Evaporative Canister that is supposed to capture gas vapor and feed it to the engine to burn it off. On my 2014 FZ09, whenever we would fill the tank with gas, this canister would cause the engine to flood and not want to start easily, then run rough for a while and then eventually it's okay. The problem would be much worse/happen faster when the bikes sit in the direct sun (not just mine, I saw it happen on a group ride too). Check that your engine oil isn't full of gasoline!
#5 in this picture, I believe.
Pretty sure you would disconnect at "C", then extend it down the left side along the other overflow line to the left footrest area with some appropriate rubber hose. Then disconnect and seal off "9" that leads to the throttle bodies to prevent vacuum leak. Then remove the bulky hunk of junk and throw it into a firey pit.
Anything else? Some ECU sensors connect here or anything?

Thanks, I'll try to turn off this canister... No manipulations were done with the ECU... I didn't lift the tank, so I don't know if there are any other sensors there or not... All I see from the outside is this canister and 2 hoses connected to it...

I messed with the evap cannister trying to remove it and i disconnected and pinched off some of the hoses. I ran into issues with starting the bike but it never stalled on me. I think messing with the hoses was causing some sort of vapor lock. I returned the hoses back to normal and reinstalled the cannister and the problem stopped. So yea, sounds like you're getting close to figuring out the issue. Could very well have to do with the emissions.

Good afternoon! My situation is this - while I was waiting for an appointment with the master, the weather turned cool. The motorcycle with the canister started without problems... Yesterday, the master removed the canister, according to the scheme as advised here. It starts normally, but the air temperature is not high yet (25 - 29 degrees Celsius). I left it in the sun and gasoline dripped a little from the ventilation tube (while the bike was standing, a few drops). On the fz09 forum, I saw that when removing the canister, this occurs (the tank was almost full). When I came home from work, there were no drops (but I didn't put the bike in the sun either). As the temperature rises, I will observe and write how he behaves.

Yes it is normal with the canister removed and a full tank. The sun will pressurize the tank and you'll get a few drops from the vent hose.

And so, with the canister removed, I traveled for a week. It was not very hot (up to 30 degrees Celsius). I left it in the sun. There were no problems with the launch. Thanks a lot to everyone, I think everything will be fine in the future and that was the problem.
