I rode a bit the other day and my gauge still read full. When I went to fill up, it took just a hair over 1.5 gallons. Anyone else have this issue or is there a fix for it?

Yes. Mine reads full, full, full, full, half, almost empty.
I haven't pushed past that,, but I've never been able to squeeze more than 3.8 gallons back into it.
The gauge is not accurate.

I don't like the gas gauge myself, it's annoying not knowing when you are at 3/4 of a tank. Going from full to half stinks lol

I'll do that from now on. Around my parts it's about a $6.xx fill up at 1/4. It's around 2.68 a gallon here. Not too bad for premium.

With stock ECU I got 70 miles to 1/2 tank, 100 miles to next mark, and 120 miles to the reserve. I put 140 miles on an early tank and filled it up with 4.2 gallons US.

Unless something is way off on your particular -10, you're gonna get 120 miles till fill time. At approximately 60 miles, the gauge drops to half, at approx 90 miles 1/4 tank and at 120 reserve and low tank warning . 20-30 miles later, it's empty. This is typical and the gauge is not off, just different. Eventually it becomes second nature. Average gas mileage is 32-34 mpg per tank. Not unusual for a 160 hp motorcycle.

I don't think mine is off, just not reading in small enough increments. If I'm leaving one town and the next one is 60 miles away, I don't like the false sense of a full tank when it's really just a few miles from a half tank. I guess I'll get used to using a trip meter.
It's really not a big deal, but the device could be a lot better.

As far as your assessment of the miles and the gauge, I tested it today and you are dead on! Mine did drop at those exact points. I'm happy. Lol.

So, given the capacity of the tank, you should be getting around 32-34 mpg as well. In 2100 miles, calculating at each fill up, I've had one tank go 35 mpg and have never been below 32 mpg. If I baby it for the entire tank, the miles are slightly higher as the gauge drops to each segment (roughly 5 more miles) and 35 mpg is the result. Overall, you'll be close on every tank unless you really flog it the entire time. This is very typical for the -10. I've read one post reporting mpg consistently in the low 20s. Be happy you don't have that bike.

One additional point about gas. I ran premium through the break in miles. I've since gone to one tankful of premium every 1000 miles and regular the rest of the time. The only real difference is premium has added cleaning agents. As clean as the -10 runs, it's overkill to run premium all the time. It runs exactly the same on regular. Same smoothness, power, gas mileage, engine temps, etc.
I do the same with our car and truck.

If a motor doesn't ping with regular, premium is just spending money.

Octane has everything to do with performance, if the timing is tuned for it. The detergents in 87 and 93 are in most cases the same. If you are concerned about detergents in gas then only use top tier fuel.

If you are concerned about detergents in gas then only use top tier fuel. Yes, but the safe operating combustion at advanced timing creates the performance increase. The octane level affects the burn rate, which helps prevent detonation when timing is excessively advanced. High octane fuel doesn't increase performance; but it does allow engines to be tuned to a higher level of performance. My point is that simply using high octane fuel vs a lower octane fuel will not increase performance.

Does your regular have ethanol? Yes. Almost all the gas in my area has ethanol. There are a few places in the area selling ethanol free gas, but not many.
